tmrmwel (1215) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 19, 2015
Bottle. Pours pitch black, with a creamy brown head receding to a small cap. Aroma is dark roasted malts, with coffee, cocoa and oak barrels, as well as notes of heather, honey and only slight whiffs of bourbon. Full body with creamy texture, and very soft to no carbonation. Flavour is sweet roasted malts, with coffee, cocoa, burned wood and bourbon, as well as leather, liquorice and heather notes. Lingering sweet malty notes of vanilla, tobacco and wooden barrels in the finish. A massive and complex, yet subdued and very balanced brew.

Swaroga (1664) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 16, 2015
Pitch black with a small brown head. The head lasts. The aroma is typical to BA Brunch Weasel series : black chocolate, coffee, tobacco, lots of vanilla and pronounced barrel aging. This one is less sweet then Slyrs version. It has also longer and more roasty aftertaste. Thick and creamy mouthfeel. Delicious brew overall.

Bottle @ THLBBT May. Pours a pitch black beer with small beige head on top. Aroma of bourbon and caramel, touch of oak and vanilla. Flavor is very sweet, sugary with loads of boozy notes that come from the bourbon. Big, alcoholic sweetness, loads of complex woody flavors, good note of coffee and loads to explore in this beer. Very, very nice.

Bottle. Black with a medium sized dark brown head. Nose is all bourbon; coconut, vanilla, white chocolate. Same goes for the flavour, heavy bourbon, white wood, light earth, glue. Medium/full body, oily/sticky texture, soft carbonation, somewhat sticky and boozy. Fine, but a bit one tracked.

Dark almost black beer with small cinnamon coloured head on top. Aroma is just amazing. There is lots of vanilla from the bourbon, then roasted malt, coffee in different form, there is espresso and milk coffee. Some sweet chocolate also. Taste has bourbon, vanilla, roasted malts, lots of coffee, dark chocolate, milk coffee and cream. Full body and low carbonation makes this an pleasure to drink. Hands down my favourite beer so far. The bourbon finish gives this great vanilla flavour which I like a lot in my imperial stout. Just perfect 5/5.
