COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nogle mener endda, at kaffen øger sexlysten!
En Imperial Oatmeal Stout brygget på: vand, malt, humle, gær og vietnamesisk ca phe chon kaffe.

Bottle at home. It pours jet black with a creamy steady mokka coloured head. The aroma is coffee, sweet roasted malt, oak, dark fruit, light tar and chocolate. The flavour is a great mix of roasted malt, calvados, oak, coffee and liquorice. The calvados barrel takes some of the complexity from the original beer which is not to the better and I still like the original better than any of the barreled versions. This is great though.

Pours purple-black with a ring of dark brown. Scent is licorice, molasses, apple, chocolate , wood....bitter coffee. Flavour is heavily coffee/chocolate....strong booze at the start, dark cherry...burned and bitter....smooth and milky... A very different vibe to this....but, considering the journey some of the ingredients had to make, I guess that’s not so.....odd.

Pours jet black. Nose is quite boozy with loads of espresso, liquor, molasses and vanilla. Taste is very concentrated with explosions of newly ground coffee, sugar, spirits and chocolate. Not that balanced, but very nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from an 8.5 ounce bottle. Pours a fairly dark brown to black with a thin khaki colored head of foam. Decent retention. The aroma has some wood, coffee, roasty malt, maybe some vanilla bean influence. Almost a cinnamon spiced apple. Taste is a lot more wood and barrel heat than the original version. The original wasn’t barreled either, though. I get the spicy apple notes from the calvados, but still get a nice leathery, roasty coffee presence throughout, it’s just a lot more subdued than what the original had to offer. You really have to concentrate to get the barrel notes in the aroma, but in the taste, they’re front and center. Nice beer and variant, but I believe I prefer the original version.

Black beer with a brief and small dark brown mocha head. I can’t quite get anything to describe the aroma directly, roastiness, dark hint of sweetness, apples. Body is medium to full. Mouth feel is oily. Burnt caramel and coffee roastiness, a hint of syrup. Bitterness slowly builds up in the after taste and fades away quite elegantly.

Pours black with very small brown head. Super rich aroma - almost like figs and brandy. Taste explodes in your mouth - bourbon, coffee, molasses, anise. One of the most flavor packed and complex beers I've ever had. Nice heavy body - finishes incredibly smooth.

Bottle. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly diminished with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee, chocolate and wood alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate malt flavor with a heavy dark sweet and small alcohol burn finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a standout beer.

8.5oz bottle. I bought this bottle and the cognac edition about a year ago. Been wanting to try the base beer before having the barrel editions, but haven’t been able to find it, and I’m done waiting. I just feel like 8.5oz of super-exotic beer right now. Pours pitch black. Good thin brown head. Great lace. Big body. Awesome chewy texture. Very light carbonation. Kind of creamy. No viscosity. Great texture. Rich butterscotch coffee chocolate nose. Kind of decadent, but not too intense of a smell. Coffee isn’t explosive like I’d expect from weasel poop - it’s definitely noticeable, and very enjoyable. But it’s in check, for me. Roasty malts. Oatmeal flavors. Nice big bitter taste. Alcohol just slightly detectable, but not at all bothersome. Nice influences from what I assume is the calvados barrel here... Little bit of woody taste, with some subtle apple, nutsin the flavor, as well as the significant butterscotch. Not mind-blowing, but very agreeable, smooth, complex and well-blended. $13 for this tiny little bottle hurts, but somehow it’s worth tasting once. Really enjoyable to sip on slowly, especially late at night after a big dinner when even 12oz seems like too much. Would probably have been even better in the morning, though..

Oil black pour with a brown head. Aroma is thick dark chocolate, roasted coffee, dark malt, a bit boozy. Flavor is more of the same. Creamy dark chocolate, just the right amount of bitterness and roast from the coffee. The Calvados adds a really excellent layer of complexity and depth. Amazing beer.
