COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nogle mener endda, at kaffen øger sexlysten!
En Imperial Oatmeal Stout brygget på: Vand, malt, humle, gær og vietnamesisk ca phe chon kaffe. Lagret på cognac tønder.

English: The recipe for this beer is as simple as a child’s finger painting: you take one of the world’s highest rated beers – that’s the one called Brunch – and then you let it splash about in a totally fresh cognac barrel for three months. After that it’s a question of out of the barrel, into a bottle and off you go.

Pours totally black with a black head which bubbles away after a short while. Aroma is roasted malt with coffee, vanilla, chocolate, woody notes and a bit of cognac of course. Taste is medium to high sweet of chocolate, coffee leading to a lightly roasty, a little sweet and powerful finish. A slight bit of alcohol burn.really awesome!

8.5oz bottle. Pitch black color. Good half-finger thick brown head. Impressive retention, decent lace. Good chocolate brownie nose, coffee noticeable in there, roast malts. Bigger body. Very nice silky smooth chewy texture. Very light carbonation. Light bitter taste, some sweet. Little to no bite at all. Very awesome, complex long aftertaste. There’s the big, exotic kopi coffee flavor, long and roasty and delicious. Nice amount of bitter dark chocolate, which takes a backseat to the coffee, but is there. The hearty oatmeal body. In the finish, the complex cognac barrel influence shows. Some fresh fruit, light spice. White grape, pear. Vanilla, and floral hints. $13 for a little baby bottle is harsh. But the fantastic complex long aftertaste makes this. Worth trying once, for sure.

Opaque black - brown beer. Tidy tan head. Smooth dark malt nose with a little wet wood. Smooth palate, mild carbonation and semi dry. Rich dark malt and rich coffee. Malt cream and unsweet wood. Mellow cognac. Finishes semi dry with dark chocolate dominating. Great rich brew!

250 mL bottle served in a stem glass, side-by-side with the original at a tasting at Chris’ place. Pours black with a small tan head that fades to a thin remnant and leaves a small amount of lace. The nose has bigger chocolate notes than the original, combined with subtle cognac and oak. The coffee still comes through, but is more subtle. Earth, molasses and a slight hoppiness rounds it out. The flavour is moderately sweet with molasses, chocolate and oaky cognac notes from the nose. On the palate, it is full in body with a smooth, milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a great cognac barrel aged imperial stout. It is delicious and I only wish I had another bottle! 2012-12-01

Jelly like and medium viscousity with small dark tan head. Choc barrel aged smell. Taste is nice chocolate, sweetness and coffee at end of palate. Vanilla - yum! Beautiful finish, with a lingering malty sweetness. Great beer. Only thing I’d say is it could be a bit more chewy, and maybe there is too much to register with the flavours.

Bottle thanks to Theis! Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a nice dark grain and dark chocolate with strong coffee and just a bit of barrel. Flavor has strong dark coffee with some dark chocolates, cognac and earthy dark grains.
