Nogle mener endda, at kaffen øger sexlysten!
En Imperial Oatmeal Stout brygget på: Vand, malt, humle, gær og vietnamesisk ca phe chon kaffe. Lagret på cognac tønder.

English: The recipe for this beer is as simple as a child’s finger painting: you take one of the world’s highest rated beers – that’s the one called Brunch – and then you let it splash about in a totally fresh cognac barrel for three months. After that it’s a question of out of the barrel, into a bottle and off you go.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2014 Quite underwhelming, given my expectations coming in. A bit of an unpleasant fishiness in the nose, and too cigarette ashy. The taste is an improvement but still not wholly separable from those negative elements; chocolate, a vague notion of cognac, a touch on the sweet side. I liked this a lot less than the other BGBW varieties I’ve tried.

Sticky apple, melted figs and quite hot. Initial taste is brisk coffee or simply up front bitterness. More fig and bit of varnish. Spicier mouthfeel than the others, kicks on a bit. Nice cooling bitterness and sticky sweet linger.

Bottle at Dangerous Bottle Share 6.0. Pitch black pour with a tiny tan head. Nose has some barrel character, booze, light bitter coffee and some chocolate. Taste is super smooth, dark chocolate, light freshly ground coffee, vanilla and some ash.

Pours black with a dark brown head. Aroma has very visible and clear sweet cognac notes which comes through very nicely along with the characteristic weasel coffee. Also some chocolate, vanilla and a weak wooden feel to the aroma. The taste is dry, sweet and savory. Notes of roasted coffee, sweet cognac, chocolate and vanilla. Very nice take on this fantastic beer!

Thick viscous poor, with fairly light carbonation. Rich nose of dark roast malt, vanilla, chocolate, light sweet booze. Slick full bodied mouthfeel, with rich flavors of dark roast malts, dark chocolate, light barrel character. Delicious but pricey.

Pours black with low tan head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, light vanilla, muscovado, and cognac barrels. Yum! Taste is slightly more fiery than the normal brunch weasel, but still very balanced, coffee and chocolate up front with a roasty, slightly burnt finish with light oak notes. Body is rich and creamy with soft carbonation.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2015 330 ml bottle (Silver/gray waxed cap with the regular Keith Shore Brunch Weasel label) from Mikkeller Shop mailorder, poured into a snifter. Jet black with half a finger of tan head. Aromas of cognac, coffee, sweet booze, chocolate, subtle wine, maybe a hint of acetone. Tastes of dark chocolate, fudge, coffee, cognac. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Cognac is nicely integrated, not very boozy or hot.

Huge cognac aroma with some hints of leather and cocoa. Pour is blackest black. No head. Very little carbonation and slick mouthfeel. Taste is one dimensional. Maybe I got a bad bottle but there is not enough in the taste and palate to elevate this. Sucks cuz everything Weasel is supposed to be good.
