Bottle. Pours a black colour with a brown thick head. Aroma is róasted malts, hops, coffee, chocolate, slight barrel aroma too. Taste is like aroma, long lasting. The barrel aging not as evident as I had hoped. Full bodied, oily. Very good.

(Bottle, purchased at Ölbutikken, Copenhagen, a couple of years ago) Black colour with dense, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with strong black coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, hints of oak and smoke, and a touch of vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, oak wood, tar, liquorice, hints of smoke and a finish with a generous coffee bitterness and a warming touch of whisky. Full body with a thick and slightly oily mouthfeel. Fairly dry for its strength. Impressive stout with a generous coffee character and a warming whisky touch. Lovely beer!
