@ Basunen 15-6-27: ganska tydlig whiskydoft. Smaken är ganska stor och fyllig av stark kaffe, lakrits och whisky. Fin och len eftersmak. Riktigt gott. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

Poured from bottle into tulip glass. -Aroma: roasted coffee and vanilla with faint notes of peat -Appearance: thick and viscous pour, black in color with a thick brown head -Taste: surprisingly smooth for the ABV, dark roast coffee and molasses with a distinctly peaty after taste and mild lingering bitterness -Palate: creamy and oily on the tongue, thick and strong -Overall: very good stout, great taste from the start to the finish. One of the best "brunch stouts" I’ve tasted.

33cl bottle at home, new batch. poured a dark black colour with a tanned head. nose of dark bitter chocolate, smoke, salty peat, ash, dark espresso beans, licorice, oak, burned caramel, incredible thick mouthfeel. chocolate fudge, whisky, oak, tobacco. some sweet vanilla notice in the end, overall the peated whisky if a bit overwelming, and not as balanced as the other brunch weasel versions, but still a joy to drink do

Bottle. Pitch black with big dark brown head, beautiful looking beer. If you love Laphroaig or Ardbeg, you love this aroma, peat and Islay smoke like there’s dram of whisky in your hand. Taste is also smoky with some wood, chocolate, vanilla and coffee. Very big, smooth and oily mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Long, soft, smoky finish with cocoa and coffee. Three words: peat, smoke and Islay.

Pours a thick, jet black colored beer, with a dense, bubbly, dark brown head. Produces then a trace of head, resulting into alcohol legs, coating up the edge of the glass. Reveals its true viscosity after swirling, leaving a translucent, slick film of dark brown beer behind on the glass. Has a great mouthfeel to it, low carbonated, with a rich creaminess to it, showcasing the peaty, warming barrel and its Islay qualities. This beer is very thick and full bodied, while profiting from its soft silkness. Tastes of scorched malts, muddy, salty earth, rich bakers chocolate and old wood, topped off by a huge peat infusion. The peatiness lends even more earth to it, adding an almost chewy proportion to the beer, together with melted bitter-chocolate and dried tobacco, which then gets gently balanced by slightly fruity, toasty coffee, salty caramel and oaky Scotch. The Islay Scotch adds a hot but pleasant peak to the taste, leaving the palate with warm, slightly dry and pleasantly bitter scorched malts, with even more pronounced red wild berries on top, perfectly coated up by cream and a blend of bitter chocolate and crushed coffee beans. Offers a fantastic variety of flavours, almost collapsing on the palate, if it wasn’t for the well working balance of the beer. Manages all the little twists perfectly, featuring a very peaty, earthy and foremost great imperial stout.

[4/27/15] Draught at Taphouse in Copenhagen. Black with a bit of brown foam. Big peaty aroma with some coffee and chocolate. Sweet flavor with lots of chocolate and peat, some coffee and a burnt finish. Full-bodied. Very good.

From tap at Taphouse. Very brown almost black color and dark head. Has fantastic aroma of whiskey but has very little alcohol taste. Tons of smoke and malt. Not a beer you van drink tons of because of the intense flavors, but very good at 5-10 cl at a time. Great for after a nice meal if you don’t want full on whiskey.
