Formerly brewed by Mikkeller at Nøgne Ø, Norway, now at Lervig, Norway.
This imperial Oatmeal stout is brewed with one of the world’s most expensive coffees, made from droppings of weasel-like civetcats. The fussy Southeast Asian animals only eat the best and ripest coffee berries.Enzymes in their digestive system help to break down the bean. Workers collect the bean-containing droppings for Civet or Weasel Coffee. The exceedingly rare Civet Coffee has a strong taste and an even stronger aroma.
Ingredients : Water, malts, hops, yeast and Vietnamese ca phe chon coffee.

amateur review incoming! Appearance: black and brown with a dark brown translucent edge. Little bit of head that dissipated nicely into the dark pool. Smell: coffee and stouty malty goodness Taste: rich coffee and yes, the oatmeal is present. The hops come through as does the malt and it winds up just a well-done good feeling taste. Little hint of alcohol on the aftertaste keeps this from a 5.0 Mouthfeel: Brown with a nice body. Yeah. Drinkability: the aftertaste and the high abv stop it from perfection but on taste smell and mouthfeel alone this hits as one of the best I’ve had. Three cheers!!

Aroma of huge coffee, roasted malts, vanilla, roasted chocolate, baked bread. Pours pitch black with a mocha head. Taste follows the nose with loads of coffee, roast, sweeter vanilla and chocolate. Lighter side of full bodied, soft carbonation, velvety mouthfeel, bitter and roasty finish. It’s good stuff.

Säuerlich schlanker Lakritzgenosse. Viel deliöse Kaffeearomen gepaart mit einem tiefschwarzen Outfit. Der Trunk heiß alkoholisch und voll würzig röstiger Schokokraft. Schwer. Not the best, trotzdem BIG and hot as hell. MIKKELLER & FRIENDS Kopenhagen. 0,2/60DKK. Tap.

Aroma - big roast, alcohol, licorice, caramelized sugars, chocolate, coffee, and a dash of vanilla. Appearance - the body is on the verge of blackness, the head is beige and around 1/2" and settles into a thin layer of foam. Alcohol cloying drapes the glass in a wash of small suds. Taste - has a rich roast, coffee, caramelized sugars, alcohol, some licorice, and a little dark chocolate. Palate - full body, thick feel, soft carbonation, nice roast astringency that is medium in length.

Pours black with a thin khaki head which fades to just a little lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, super dark chocolate, intense dark roast coffee, milk coco, dark fruits, sweet malts, caramel, and some salt. Taste is about the same as the aroma with a lot of bitter dark chocolate, espresso and dark roast, almost burnt coffee, dark fruits, vanilla, sweet malts, caramel, salt, earthiness, and and maybe just a little alcohol as it warms. Has a full body with a creamy, kinda of oily mouthfeel and a semi bitter, long, lingering finish. Overall, a fantastic, super unique and interesting beer that I’m glad I finally tried.
