COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly brewed by Mikkeller at Nøgne Ø, Norway, now at Lervig, Norway.
This imperial Oatmeal stout is brewed with one of the world’s most expensive coffees, made from droppings of weasel-like civetcats. The fussy Southeast Asian animals only eat the best and ripest coffee berries.Enzymes in their digestive system help to break down the bean. Workers collect the bean-containing droppings for Civet or Weasel Coffee. The exceedingly rare Civet Coffee has a strong taste and an even stronger aroma.
Ingredients : Water, malts, hops, yeast and Vietnamese ca phe chon coffee.

This is the best beer i have tasted. To bad that the weasel that "make" the coffeebeans in this beer is living under unhuman circumstances. De Molen made one imp.stout with same beans and stopped making it when this was revalded. I expect that mikkeller does it too.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2014 Bottle 50cl. Pours black with a very dark head. Extreme rich aroma of roasted malt, coffee, tar and just very intense. If the nose was intense, then the taste basically blow up your taste buds. Amazing how much taste you can put into a beer. Coffee and tar is dominant and a perfect bitter finish to complete this beer. Simply fantastic if you are into extreme beers.

11.2 oz bottle into a tulip glass. Pours an inky black, with a small brown head which quickly fades, leaving fair lacing. Nose is strong black coffee. taste is deep, rich coffee and dark malt, with a very long finish that has a hint of hop bitterness. Mouth feel is creamy and thick. One of the best coffee stouts I’ve ever had.

This is THE BEST Imperial Stout I’ve drunk so far. Extremely aromatic, marvelously tasting. Coffee, black malts, hops. Everything on right place. Perfection!

Cholernie przyjemne. Oleista konsystencja wyborna do tego stylu i do tego alkohol odczuwalny - ale jak na 11% to dobrze przykryty smakiem dominującym. Jedno z najlepszych i najstaranniej uwarzonych piw. Polecam.

En flott stout! Snublet over denne på polet, og det var den siste flasken de hadde. Et særdeles heldig funn. Anbefales på det sterkeste!
