In short: sweet creamy stout.
Pours black with little tan head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Full body, soft carbonation, viscous texture. Taste is quite sweet, cocoa, burnt caramel, coffee and roasty notes. Viscous mouthfeel, sweet aftertaste.

Hermod (3905) - Vantaa, FINLAND - MAY 2, 2015
33cl bottle. Opened this one to celebrate my daughter turning 2 years old. Pitch black in color, espresso head. Oily. Ashy, roasty aroma, licorice and vanilla. Flavor is intense, espresso notes, salty licorice, vanilla, roastedness, this coming in layers, leaving the vanilla last. Massive beer, lovely flavor, but the aroma and balanced could be better. Still, Im not complaining, enjoyable nonetheless

Bottle. Colour...jet black with a thin tan head. Nose...very vanilla-y, sugary and of course, coffee-y! Palate...sharp, dry, sweet and bitter with gobs of vanilla laden, day old coffee, replete with grounds. The finish is full, bitter and jazzy with brimming with machiato.

Bottle thanks to Justin. Pours a black color with a small brown head. A big sugary sweet vanilla nose. Huge molasses, vanilla, smoke, decadent. Super sweet. Huge vanilla.

phaleslu (7224) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 30, 2015
330 ml bottle from The Party Source. Pours a deep, opaque brown with a small brown head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of vanilla, cocoa, caramel, coffee, fudge, brown sugar, cookie, and just a hint of earth and roast. Very sweet and all about the beans. Flavor of cocoa and vanilla and coffee beans, tobacco, roasted malts, toasted brown sugar, and a hint of ash. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a mouthfeel that is simultaneously sweet and roasty-bitter, without the two melding in balance. Still, they work and mask the ABV. A lot to like here. Great beer.

Black with tan head. Vanilla, chocolate and milkshake aroma. Slick palate. Sweet, cherry, vanilla, cake, marzipan and chocolate finish. Overall: great use of vanilla. Complex and well made.

Pitch black colour, tan head. Aroma of vanilla, rum, coffee, caramel and brown sugar. Sweet flavour, caramel, toffee, coffee, vanilla, crme brle, laurierdrop, nesquick. Sweet, bit cloying finish, vanilla, coffee, liquorice, light lingering bitter. Loads of vanilla. Nice.
