4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Just from the pour I knew this beer was going to be amazing. Just like the name says the vanilla flavor was there. It's a bit strange for something this dark to taste like vanilla.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours black opaque color with big stable creamy brown head. Aroma with mild detectable alcohol, which smell like rhum and with hint of bourbon. But prevailing note is of vanilla, with hints of oak, dark chocolate and coffee.
Flavor is similar: alcohol note is very discrete, very malty sweet, with prevailing notes of vanilla and coffee, hints of tobacco, oak, oat, rhum, port wine, cognac and dried dark fruits.
Malt sweetness is high, hop bitterness is medium to high, texture is silky smooth, body is sticky, carbonation is low. Once again: unbealivable drinkable beer for 13 % abv. Marvellus!

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
czarne, piana jasnobrązowa, bardzo obfita, drobniuteńka,
bardzo słodki i intensywny, perfumowy wręcz, wanilia, czekolada;
ciało niskie ku średniemu, ale po chwili jakby gęstniało do konsystencji pitnej czekolady, aksamitne, oleiste, nisko nasycone, finisz czekoladowy, wykleja podniebienie i język, lekko grzeje w przełyk;
silny, czekolada deserowa z nutką wanilii i alkoholu, jak wytrawna pralina;
piękne, wonne, smaczne i wspaniale śpiewające w ustach.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of strong vanilla notes with dry bitter coffee notes is pretty singular. Taste is a mix of light roasted malt with dry bitter coffee notes with tons of vanilla flavours. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. I thought the vanilla notes were way too pronounced and push the beer in the gross territory.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl in teku. Pours a modest, cappuccino tanned head; very dark, very nicely thick and oily too. Smells chocolate of every sort, vanilla, cake, seriously remembers a coffee boozy milkshake. Tastes sweet espresso, tons of cocoa again, dark fruits, great sweet malty body, alcohol; high to very high pleasant sweetness, medium roasted bitter finish. One of thickest beer I’ve tasted, heavy bodied, with a very creamy and slick texture. Complex and on the sweet side but balanced in terms of flavor overall, but hey what did you expected from this sort of dessert and super tasty stout? Interesting stuff

Kraftig boozy. Full kropp. Herlig og vulgær.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
rich chocolate and vanilla aroma, pitch black with some tan lacing, smooth and rich with some gently carbonation to stop the choc/vanilla becoming to cloying and some alcohol heat in the finish. rather pleasant.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
13% ABV. Imperial stout.
Poured out of the bottle a sinuous brownish black, coming in at 40°SRM. This was one languorously syrupy pour. Kudos for texture, if there is such a thing!
Nose was predictably full of dark roasty aromas or burnt wheat toast, warm black bread with a nice hit of black Baltic earth. There is a good hit of medicinal alcohol and something approaching liniment or a Chinese herbal joint-rubbing poultice.
Palate is lightly carbonated and full of dark stewed fruit. There is some hint of fruit, like a boysenberry jam.
There is a bitter alcoholic finish that is not entirely unpleasant.
Nice. But not going to make it to favorites list. Gets a very big LIKE! instead. I really can’t knock anything that Mikkeller puts out, I don’t think I’m physically capable.
