3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black with a huge brown head. Very hoppy aroma, dominated by simcoe, if I’m not mistaking, roasted malts and coffee. The flavours are dry and bitter bordering on being harsh - but still highly enjoyable if you’re into a high dose of bitterness. I liked the original version better.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 50 cl. black with a large foamy brown head with good durability. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roast with roasted malt. notes of smoke is sensed. The taste seems at first a little heavy and sweet, but it turns out to be a nice well-hopped beer, which interact with the sweet tongue and makes a fantastic stout.

It could have been a disaster. Instead it is a decent imperial stout with some hop overtones.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml Bottle: Aroma of coffee, hops, pine, light roasting, and a hint of citrus. Poured pitch black in color with a small, brown head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Opaque. Sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, pine, coffee, roasting, malt, light chocolate, char, and light marijuana. Medium to full body. Average carbonation. Medium bitter, lightly sweet, hop, pine, malt, roast, char, coffee finish. Nice and hoppy. 7.5%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours to a pitch black body with a ridiculously creamy deep tan head with lots of lacing and coating. The aroma is heavy on the oatmeal and chocolate with notes of oatmeal raisin cookies on the finish. Perhaps some oatmeal sandwich cookies too. Minor note of camphor. The flavor had an oatmeal sandwich cookie up front and then was dominated by a dry chocolate stout. Some green hops are there but are hard to detect amongst all the dry chocolate stoutiness. Some bitter coffee. The palate is medium bodied and pretty dry and bitter.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very good dark-brown head over virtually black beer; lacerings. Very (USA) hoppy aromas, dry, mixed with roasted/nutty odours, well-balanced between the two; black coffee and moccha. Bitter coffee, chicory, slightly ashes and burnt starch in the finish. Only in the aftertaste, something less harsh, reminding of black chocolate, peppery. Rather well-bodied, slick but not viscous. Persistent head keeps adding variation in the MF. Good hoppy stout. As suggested, sampled as 11 o’clock breakfast.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from josh. Pours black with a small dark tan head. Smells like hopped chocolate. Near full bodied. Thins as carb goes. Flavor is like really dark chocolate and very smooth burnt/toast malt. Finishing with the mouth thinking it has been savoring really dark chocolate. So the hop bitter must be making me think it’s really bitter chocolate. Pretty tasty stuff.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: very dark pour with a fluffy beige head and loads of lace. Roasted malt, cappuchino, some charcoal, herbal notes and piney hops. A little astringent and lacking in the balance department
