Bottle pours a dark black with a thin head. Nose as you might expect coffee and really green hops. Not too sweet and fairly hoppy. The coffee malt flavors are nice and not overpowering. Decent.

33cl bottle enjoyed @ home. Pours pitch black with a light brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, liquorice and some citrus. Flavour is roasted and bitter. Medium bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation. Finish is almost like cold coffee. I miss more hops in aroma and flavour.

Bottle from Mikkeller Webshop; opaque black pour with a big mocha head, aroma had distinct pine, roast malts and some coffee, taste chocolate, pine background, roast malts, coffee, slick mouthfeel, if there was such a thing as a IBIPA this would hit the mark.

500 ml bottle at home, 2011 vintage. Pours deep black with a very steady, xreamy light beige head. extremely roasted barley in the nose, the gentle pine bitterness has well integrated, dark chocolate, burnt bread and a tad of alcoholic sharpness. Thick body with an imminent kick of hop bitterness, mellowing out towards the end and the roastiness taking over. Taste is dark chocolate, very dry aftertaste as well. Nice.

Teku glass. Bottle. Pitch black with moch-like, densed head. Medium head retention. Very good lacing. Rich aroma of roasted malts - mainly coffee combined with medium to high hops aroma (resin, light grapefruit, pine), some dried fruits in the background. Taste is great. Medium to high hop bitterness. Solid malt and oat flavour. Little coffee acidity. Medium body, medium carbonation, creamy/oily texture, semi-dry. Semi-bitter, semi-dry, coffee finish. Great.

500ml bottle served in a tulip glass. A: Wonderful bottle art, first of all. Dark label with draws of green hop cones. Pours a deep black color forming a big thin bubbled dark beige to brown head. Medium retention and lots of thin lingering lacings left in the glass. Lots of brown particles floating, mainly in the end of bottle pouring. S: Great nose. Powerful mix of coffee and hops. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, mokka coffee and great flowery hops. Really something in between a stout and a black IPA. Notes of oatmeal, earth and wood and resin. T: Roasted malts, dark chocolate, mokka coffee, oreo biscuit, wood, flowery and very grassy hops. Delicious. Slightly sweet sweet somewhere but, in overall, very dry and bitter. Leather and metallic notes. Dark fruit esters. M: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Persistent roasted and hoppy bitter aftertaste. O: Excellent drinkability. Masterpiece.

500ml bottle I got from ... Jeff? Been in my fridge for a while. Pours black, pretty large and lasting fluffy light brown head. Oh my, that’s nice - floral and dry and coffee and ... mmmmmm. Taste - wow, like an amazing black IPA (not two words I use together that often) - dry, acidic, some alcohol .... light body, astringent, airy, quite bitter, but small-scale. Love this.
