Deep amber coloured body with a two centimetre tall lighter tan head. Aroma of bitter earthy and nutty hops with a grass, caramel and alcohol note to the smell as well. Medium-bodied; Strong earthy and very nutty hops coupled with some specialty-grain malt, sort of a rye or an oatmeal flavour with a bitter earthy bite on the end and not much hops at all. Aftertaste shows a slight hop bitterness, but the mainstays of the flavour are the caramel and malt, but neither are very good nor complex. Overall, a decent beer at best, and this is definitely not an IPA, but an English Pale Ale, and still - not a very good one. This only has decent ratings because it’s a ’reputation beer’ and because people see Mik... on the front and immediately buy it and think it’s going to be great. That said, this is definitely worth passing up and shouldn’t even be considered unless you’ve had absolutely everything in the store and you are about to head on a train and need a can. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia on 31-January-2015 for US$3,49 sampled at home in Washington on 28-May-2015.

American IPA it says on the can. And there, you get it. Big terrible nasty viscous mouth coating frikken on style ipa. What else can be said? Well the color is orangy pale with a big thick goes rocky head. To make it even worse, its at room temperature, wew. I’ll shut up now. OK, so mikky’s big international now? Thanks RB, heheheh. I’ll just go buy a guiness at the old rolling rock plant, thank you.

Can. Copper red with large spongy white head, floral hops aroma, low carbonation, hoppy caramel taste, long finish. Very smooth and enjoyable.

Pours clear orange golden. Smells pines and good hops. A very good and sharp palate. Tastes real bitter. An awesome American IPA. Almost zero malts. Cool! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours darker than expected, medium amber with 1 inch tight head. Aroma of pine and some citrus, a little dank and some malt. Flavor is balanced with citrus and pine in the forefront. Nice malt backbone that makes it seem higher in alcohol. Finish is smooth, then a bitterness lingers like grapefruit rind. Overall pretty tasty. On par with many of the good IPAs.

Can. Aroma and flavor are bitter pine hop with a light malt backbone. Very strong pine hop notes. Hits hard. Pedestrian.

355ml can. Pretty decent ipa, hits all the marks, citrus and osme pine, not too malty.

Can at Brewers Beer Bar, Gothenburg. Clear golden beer with an offwhite head. Malty, grassy, caramell aroma, with some spicy and citrus hints. Hoppy, grassy a bit herbal flavour.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to nothing. Caramel and resin aromas. Soft with sweet toffee and bitter earth front to back. Tastes like a barleywine.

Bitterness, bitter and more bitter. Nose is bitter, taste is bitter and slighty malty. To me this is over rated for the price. There are much better brews in this $ range. Spruce, slight grassiness and resiny bitterness on palate and finish.
