Drop nose in glass and get hop and resin. Honey. Strong on the palate as fruit and bitterness take over the mouth. Can feel the alcohol. 355ml can, 6.8%, 1.9std drks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 12 oz can. Hazy, dark golden-light orange pour with a sticky snow white head that leaves plenty of sticky lacing, Aroma has some sharp pungent spruce accents, some funky yeasty notes. Flavor has a solid citrus bitterness to it, some doughy cake mix sweetness, a touch of peachy fruitiness, Mouthfeel has a decent spritz and thickness to it. Overall, pretty solid.

Aurelius (4497) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 19, 2015
Clear bronze beer, crappy can. Malty, tannic aroma with a fair hop twang, sweet spices implied. Pencil shavings, Bit-o-honey taffy and pecan, tannins, lightly sweet, acidic. A little offbeat, comes off as a red ale to some degree. Slightly heavy body. Not worth a premium. ABC Liquors, Betton.

Davros (2106) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 19, 2015
Pours amber with a large head. Nose shows pine, green apple, pineapple, resinous hops and sweet malt. Flavours include more resinous piny hops with less of the fruit. Supportive sweet malt balances things out.

Nice tan head, good retention and lacing. Clear, amber brew. Danky nose, pine and citrus. Med/full body, good carbonation, dry palate. Dry malts, piney, citrusy hops, some resin, copper, juicy. Dry finish, manly bite. Its cool. Decent quaffer from Mikkeller. 12oz can from statelineliquors.

Cloudy amber pour with a tight off white head. Grapefruit, pine and caramel aromas, similar taste but sweeter, deeper toffee flavour

330mL can that pours copper with a big off white head. Nice caramel/grapefruit aroma which follows through to the flavour with a resinous pine note.

onceblind (4843) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 11, 2015
Cloudy dark copperish/amber with a thin and very sticky white head. The aroma is a tad sharp and piney with an earthy bitterness and a little grapefruit rind. The flavor has a sharp bitterness all around with a mild blonde/earthy/faint malt body to back it up..also a bit too rind-y. Full bright piney acidic hops up front with not much nuance to smooth it down.

Mikkleller spent too much time on the package design and not enough time on the beer with this one. Disappointing beer. Has typical American IPA flavors of grapefruit/citrus and pine with a balanced biscuity malt but falls a bit flat compared to similar examples. Tastes like a not-as-well made and more expensive version of Founders Centennial IPA. Don’t be fooled by the flashy can design!
