Orange hued tan beer with ample light tan foam. Pretty in the glass even if slightly dim and very slightly hazed. Bittersweet aromas of citrus fruit and caramel, pine and biscuit. Like a revved up Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Bittersweet finish.

Poured from a 12 ounce can. Pours amber with a tan head. The aroma is citrusy, pine, sweet maltiness, light toastiness. The flavor is grassy and harsh, caramel, leafy. Firm bitterness that lingers. Footbalmed.

Can at Blipp’s going away tasting. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Malty and old on the nose, a touch of malt. Medium bodied, malty, papery, old malt. Slow bitterness, a touch of paper and cardboard, dusty old hops.

130715. This can is a real eye catcher and is certainly worth the money alone. Rarely does Mikkeller produce anything but a great beer and I have been lucky enough to try 73 of them before this one. Picked up this can at Craft Wine Store at Red Hill. Probably not the most suitable beer for this freezing winter’s night but oh well. A real gusher this one as when I popped the tab on the can the beer overflowed. Poured into a tulip glass this beer is everything that you want in an IPA - solid orange colour with a thick dense layer of foam and aromas that fill the nose with pure joy - pine needles, fresh cut flowers and grapefruit. Very thick body and the beer in the glass is quite heavy. Thick in the mouth with a strong and long finish. Lots of smooth butterscotch flavours. Yet another great IPA from Mikkeller.

Whole 12oz can to myself. Poured a slightly hazy, mostly clear copper color with a small white head. Aroma was mostly bitter grass with lots of strong malt coming through. Smells and tastes a bit "old" - not bad, but just very unlike an IPA. No clue on the age of it, I couldn’t find any identifying markers (or just failed to see them). Drinkable, but a little too "dusty" for me.
