Bottle, bought @ Mikkeller Bar, Cph.
Pours deep red-brown with a medium, brownish-beige head. Aroma is sweet, some apple, mild vanilla and lots of caramel notes. Mild carbonation, good dry and mildly oily mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, good caramel, vanilla. Elegant but perhaps just a bit too sticky sweet and with quite a bit of alcohol sharpness. Prefer the red wine.

Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours murky dark amber with a 3 finger creamy beige head. Aromas of brown suger and resin. Full bodied. Lots of brown sugar and some heat and some really nice hop. But the main thing is lots of astringent oak, some vanilla, and an overall impression of bourbon. Amazing ale.
