375mL bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours a dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out the red wine barrels, with loads of caramel malt, raisins, dates, figs, candied sugar and booze - quite hot. Flavour has been nicely massaged into a dry vinous dominated one, with dried fruits, toffee and booze. Dry, vinous, boozy palate, with a sort of muted aftertaste. Excellent.

Bottle @ danís house. Hazy, red violet appearance with a tan head. Rich caramel, toffee, light chocolate, slightly fruity, mild vinous aroma. Rich, quite mild red vinous, caramel, toffee, sweet malty flavor. Very nice beer that Iím enjoying way more than the normal version.

A: The pour is amber in color with a fairly tall off-white head for a barleywine. S: Lots of wine aroma on the nose along with some notes of vanilla. Those are nice, but there is a distinct ethanol note to it as well. A bit of caramel and toffee followed by more booze, oak, and rubber. T: There is a very harsh oak flavor to the beer which is quite tannic and astringent. A strong bitterness and harsh booze/ethanol heat. Just a touch of red wine to go with the rubber cement. M: Medium bodied with low carbonation. O: I just donít know how these beers keep selling. Morbid curiosity, I suppose.

Mikkeller big bad worse red wine edition. 375ml from Wlv... Pours a mostly opaque caramel toffee pour wit a semi-frothy head... Aroma is apple toffee in nature with a softer boozy fruitiness. Semi-sweet in nature... Flavors are pretty boozy with sweet dried fruit with caramel toffee in the background. Fair bit of heat towards the heat and well towards the finish. Medium bodied with active carbonation. Phenolic and semi-harsh in the finish. Subdued in the red wine compartment. 7/4/7/3/14

Bottle. Pours murky reddish amber. Tan head. Nose/taste of caramel, toffee, vinous notes, oak and almonds. Alcohol noticeable in finish, but not overpowering. Vinous notes are well balanced throughout. Mouth feel is mildly sticky at times. Medium to full body.

Pours dark crimson / brown with a tan soapy head. The aroma has lots of deep caramel malt, richness, light barrel, cream, brown sugar, toffee and light hints of red wine. Full body with lots of smoothness and flowing semi-soft carbonation. The flavor starts sweet with brown sugar, lots of malt, alcohol warmth, caramel, toffee and a hint of oak. The finish adds some light red wine notes and is very woody and robust. Nice beer overall.
