| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 16, 2008 Poured an amber brown with a thin off white head. Smells of sweet caramel malt and some hops. Fairly good on your tongue and in your mouth. Decent amount of hoppiness to go along with a pretty apparent 12 %. Not a bad BW. riversideAK (2808), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Amber colored beer. Nice head and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, brown sugar, and a nice floral/piney bouquet mixed with some earth too. A pretty good hop profile. Nice balance here with a fruity caramel malt sweetness, brown sugar, and a great hoppy finish that included flavors of pine, flowers, and some nice herbal/weedy notes. A little warming finish, but nothing close to what I expected from the 12% abv. Very good stuff. thornecb (1822), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Apr 13, 2008 (on bottle, this beers rating no. 250) Clear as cognac, chestnut color, small, white and steady head. Now, I know Cascade, maybe Centennial, but Nugget? No, but the mixture of the 3....it´s freaking magic. First of fresh cut pinewood, shoeploish, dirt. Then more sweet aromas; leather, old furniture, some winebar on Madeira. Small and perky carbonation.. And here the malty wood, the tobacco and the warmth of massive, aged alcohol strickes my palate, while the tastes of pears in brandy, canesugar and a whole 12-course dinner from a huntingparty in the hungrian forrests, with it´s fat, charcoal, bread, smoke, solid gunoil, wet dogs, laughing men, rich and tender meat, century-old tables and firm vegetabels, just rolls across my tounge. Hell, the depth of that alcoholburst, is so full, I get warm in my stomack, while the beer still is in my mouth. This is überbeer, no doubt. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2008 375 ml bottle. Pours a clear, caramel color. Medium sized white head. Aroma of dark fruits and toffee. Flavor was a mixed bag. Some sour flavors that seem out of place. Maybe a bad batch? Slightly bitter finish with a great deal of warming alcohol. Will definitely re-rate. alexanderj (2294), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Bottle; poured a copper color with a medium to large off white head. Aroma was a blend of malts; fruit, caramel, toffee with some grapefruit. Some sweetness. Flavor was just ok, with a good amount of initial bitterness. Flavor of toasted caramel, fruit, bread and alcohol. A little harsh and rough around the edges. Expected a bit more. Gillard (42), Florida, USA
