375ml bottle. Minimal off-white head atop murky amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, pine, grapefruit, caramel, alcohol. Taste is sweet, Brandy/booze, caramel, pine, alcohol burn. Sticky full body. I found this too far over the top.

Christian (11981) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 22, 2010
Red amber with a small but lasting off-white head. The aroma has fruity peach and tangerine, some sherry notes, and vineous alcohol, bordering ever so slightly on paint thinner. Fruit and sherry in the flavour too, with a sugary sweetness. Big fruity hops at work to cover the alcohol, but doesn’t quite succeed.

Bottle thanks to Matt. I missed this one when it was on the shelves and have been wanting it ever since. Pours muddy brown. Nose/taste of dates, dark fruit, toffee malt, rich caramel, fried plantain, spice, sherry and port wine. Rich. A little alcohol burn in finish. Medium body. Good sipper.

375 ml green bottle poured a clear peach with a lingering ring of ivory foam. Aromas of alcohol, carmel, peach, orange and pepper. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a warming finish. Flavors of carmel, peach, white pepper and orange with a smooth warming lingering fruity finish.

50cl bottle dark amber, smooth offwhite yellowish thick head. aroma is prickly strong boozy, flowery hops, eggyolk, malts, quite strong aroma but not very flavorfull. lots of punch. flavor is sweet malty, faint hoppy, boozy, but less boozy than 17.6% for sure, faint citric note. orange. Need some time to adjust to such a high abv, but the beer itself is a good very sweet barley wine with some hops to balance.

Tap @ Lord Nelson, Cph.
Pours a very impressive clear red with a small, creamy, off-white head that soon ends up as a thin film. Aroma is fruity, there is a strong note of rhubarb at first, softly vinious (which is impressive), caramel, toffee, grapefruity hops. Very low, slightly prickly carbonation, super oily mouthfeel. Flavour starts very, very sweet with lots of caramel. But this is luckily balanced well by alcohol and a powerful hops dose. Very dry in the finish actually. There are sherry notes everywhere, but still feels like a beer with rather chewy malts (almost crisp, even). The aftertaste, though, is sublime. The bitterness stays on my tongue and the top of my throat, while the warmth settles nicely in my belly. It is lovely non-alcoholic, yet still very strong. Very good for what it’s attempting, though I might prefer a Big Worse.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Uncelar. Small light brown head. Aroma is sweet, alcoholdense, spiced, caramelly and full of ripe fruits. Flavour is cloyingly sweet, full of overripe fruits, spice and alcohol. Medium bodied. Sweetish and fruity end. Hmmm. Not really to my likings.
