4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle pours a dark amber brownish color with a small off-white head which leaves only a small amount of lace on the glass. Aroma is a fruity with some malts and alcohol. Taste is fruity with some malty sweetness and an immediate and lasting alcohol burn and an earthy hop bitterness as the alcohol leaves the palate. A very strong and tasty barley wine that needs to be tried at least once.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy amber color. The Bourbon adds some pleasant trait to the aroma of the classic Big Worst; the flavor as well is improved, although the alcohol is still too high and boozy.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
375ml bottle from IPB. 19.1% abv.
Appearance : Deep hazy amber with small foamy white head.
Aroma : Light vanilla with big caramel and some resinous hops. Very light bourbon.
Taste : Vanilla and liquor-y sweetness.Big caramel on finish with hops. Light bourbon. Nice sweet finish with quite a lot of alcohol. Nice bitter finish.
Overall : Interesting. As rich and powerful as the rest of the lineup. bourbon is not overdone. Enjoyable sweetness that is rather well balanced by the hops and the alcohol. Still a bit too much alcohol for my taste. Good stuff but nothing really special compared to the rest...

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
2010 Vintage bottle/shared@Kulminator: clear amber/caramel colour, white head when you pour it first but after a couple of seconds, the head remains only at the sides, cloying sweet with some syrup de Liège, caramelised apples, caramel malts, brown sugar, slight hint of sweet bourbon towards the end, green apples, oak, maple syrup, hint of bitterness in the aftertaste, sweet spices, the cloyingness covers up all of the booze so I am not really getting booze here

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Sampled alongside the regular version of Big Worst.
The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma is a mix of maple, caramel, oak and a little bit of nail polish notes that I got in the regular version.
The flavor is better. I get a lot of notes from the barrel aging. Among the flavors I get are some maple, oak, vanilla, caramel, toffee and a whole lot of alcohol. You can definitely tell this beer is nearly 20 percent in alcohol.
Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation.
