Pours quite light, not so light in the glass, actuall quite dark copper, white head. SMells of cognac, oak, malts, some taint hops. Taste is heavy sweet, super smooth barrel and cognac flavors blended with the original beer. It’s soo good, candice sugar, heavy malts, caramel and toffee. Wow. Light bitter finish, no hops. Oily texture, flat carbonation, medium body. Quite cognac dominated barleywine this, but that’s ok because it’s super delicious. Want to try this one again some time

Bottle at home. The colour is clear reddish amber with a small off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, pine apple, oak, alcohol and liqueur. Powerful and sweet flavour as well with the addition of vanilla, alcohol and more caramel. Reminiscent of creme brulee. Slick and sticky mouth feel, and has a light bitterness. Powerful, sweet but balanced. A real dessert beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a medium off white head. The aroma is quite boozy with hops and loads of sweetness to it. spices and fruit from the cognac barrel. The flavour is sweet malty and oaky with some hoppy notes. Cognac is profound in the finish.

@ Basunen: stor maltig och lite spritig doft. Smaken är maltig, stor och ganska söt. Eftersmaken är helt fantastisk len och med stora toner av russin. Myclet gott.

Bottle. Dark golden colour with a beige head. Aroma is alcohol, sweet, sugar, dried fruits. Flavour is alcohol, oak, sweet, sugar, pine, hop, sugar, dried fruits, tropical fruits. Nice beer.

Strong smell, very sweet with cognac and truffels. Very malty and sweet. Similar taste with lots of raisins. Very nice!

Bottle. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty woody cognac aroma with hints of caramel. Sweetish malty woody caramel and dark fruit flavor with hints of cognac. Has a sweetish malty woody cognac finish with hints of caramel.

Bottle. A hazy one, dark golden in color and topped by a dense, off-white to light beige head. Quite alcoholic on the nose, with dried fruits, piney hops, tropical fruits, some malty sweetness and a little touch of grapes. Nice, but nothing more. The flavor though is on another level, sort of balanced, and really pleasant, with some chocolate, sweetness, dried fruits, bitterness and booze. Lasting finish. Pleasant indeed, but the aroma is a bit disappointing. Good thing the aroma isn’t the most important part of the experience. 120915

Pours slightly hazy orange/amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, brown sugar, dried fruits, alcohol and oak. Taste is heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long fruity, oak, caramel and alcohol finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
