Bottle 2010 edition thanks to pentaz. Black with no head. Massive peated smoke; ink, earth, wood. Booze, caramel. Rough and inky.

No head, just some bubbles. Aroma is dry mineraly, peat, weeds, leather, minerals, alcohol, bark, oak, dark malts, burnt sugar. Taste is dry peated, bark, peat, leather, minerals, weeds, oak, alcohol, paper, burnt sugar. Medium bitterness, dry mineraly mouthfeel. Not really my cup of tea.

Mikkeller black hole BA fight. Peat whiskey BA vs cognac BA Whiskey.. looks Black, sml dark tan head. Smells.. Big smokey, wood, earthy.. Just a touch of the choc coming through Tastes.. Heavy peat & smokey whiskey dominates, lingering burnt choc and heavy roasted malts. Cognac.. Looks cola black, no head. Smells..dark roasted malts and choc, cognac Tastes.. Smooth dark choc, some coffee, big heavy roast, loads of cognac barrel.

Bottle, enjoyed 3,5 years after bottling. Pours pitch black, with a creamy brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, with cocoa, peated islay whisky and coffee, as well as oak, heather, tannins and tobacco. Full body with creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet roasted malts, with cocoa, oak barrels, liquorice and leather as well as coffee, earth, heather and peat whisky with a sting of alcohol. Lingering sweet malts and peat in the finish.

375ml bottle pours a murky black with some clumpy brown head. Nose... well, here we go, loads of rubber band, almost a bit of fresh tire too (not a compliment), heavy char, a little salty too - like a camp fire of driftwood. Flavor has some malt sweetness but it’s way too smokey, way to salty and too sweet. Finish is harsh. Drain pour.

# 3445 ersma: eine weitere sonder-edition des black holes. zum öffnen des korkens hab ich ne wapuza gebraucht, so fest saß der. viel co2 ist da auch nicht um zu helfen. pechschwarz, schaumbefreit und sehr co2-arm. der geruch ist intensiv röstmalzig mit viel lakritz und toffe, etwas schoko ist auch dabei. dazu süßliche obertöne - whiskeyfass?
der antrunk ist schwer, ölig und nahezu co2-befreit. intensiv röstmalzig, auch hier viel lakritz und schoko, kaffenoten und vanille. die süßlichen aromen des whiskeyfassen sind vorhanden. die mitte wird noch ausgeprägter süßlich, später kommt etwas hopfenherbe hinzu. bis in den späten abgang ist der geschmack geprägt von schoko, lakritz und vanille. die flasche ist sehr ansehnlich. fazit: mit etwas mehr co2 wäre das referenzklasse. so "nur" unbedingt probierenswert. 9,13,12,13,14,13 - 12,50

Black hole serien er virkelig en fantastisk flok øl og den her er ingen undtagelse. Tørvet whisky og eg dominerer sammen med en vanilje præget sødme. Det sluttes af med et svagt alkoholspsek dækket ind i en passende olieret fylde.
