On keg at the BrewDog bar. Had this alongside the Cognac and Tequila versions. Pours a black colour with a thin tan head. Softer aroma of red wine, chocolate, coffee and caramel. Flavours of coffee, chocolate and roasty malt. Lingering oak. Light carbonation with an oily mouth-feel and a bitter finish. Alcohol quite present throughout. Very nice.

Bottle. Shared @Alebrowar Gdynia. Smells of coffee, tar, red fruit (red grapes). Heavy red wine smells. Some wooden barrel scents. Pours pitch black with some short lasting small tan head. Taste is dry, cocoa beans, chocolate, some coffee. A lot of red wine as the beer gets warmer. The finish brings some wooden barrel tastes. Almost no carbonation. Overall very interesting beer, though very dominated by the barrel aging in the red wine barrel.

Bottle. Pours a diseased blood reddish brown with minimal cap. Aroma is red wine, plum, wood, coffee, vanilla. Oh so much vanilla. And booze. Taste is tannic and sweet. Very dry finish from a coating, sticky mouthfeel. Pretty much a red wine drenched beer.

Bottle sampled at Classic City Brew Fest 2014. Pours a deep brownish black with minimal head. Aroma is much like the original with hints of earthy wood and dark fruit. Tannic taste but still very roasty, somehow the booze is better hidden. Good stuff.
