3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours black with tan head. Little lacing. Nose is roasted malts, vino, honey, vanilla bean and coffee. Taste is same, but vinous notes really overpower. Sweet imperial stout. Lots of red wine undertones throughout a very long finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
375ml bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Full big creamy dense light brown head on top of a pitch black colored beer. Smell malts, lightly coffee, caramel, some hops, lightly roasty, some chocolate, lightly earth, wood and vertainly influences of wine. Taste dark malts, light to medium roastyness, some alcohol though not too much, some coffee, dark chocolate, bitter and again some wood and red wine influences. The red wine influences are more clearly present in the finish. Medium carbonation, medium to full body.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
bottle, sampled in a mikkeller glass at home, celebrating having enjoyed 66cl hopping frog doris the destroyer.
pitch dark when settled, poured dark clear brown. Head is fantastic, brown lower down, and light brown higher up.
dry roasted malty aroma with "just enough" hops to make it very interesting.
flavor is flowery hoppy, roasted grainy, red wine, faint wood. actually pretty interesting - You can clearly taste the grapes. somehow they do not add sourness but rather a fresh grape juice like note to the flavor. Overall leaves the impression of being not that strong, and a bit like lemonade. Serve this to the uninformed and they’ll get themselves seriously drunk ;-). The fruity notes (probably both from hops and the wine barrels) makes me think of black and blue berries. This is pretty deep stuff.. I am very grateful that i get to taste it. (entire bottle to myself, HAH). some of the flavor profile leads me to think of imp. IPA, but the rest is a pretty solid imp. stout. While not as balanced and well composed as e.g. yeti imp stout, this one is very unique and one of those beers You’ll be sorry to miss out on.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, bought @ Vinens Verden, Odense.
Completely black, lovely, staying, light-brown creamy head. Aroma has lots of complexity. Chocolate abound, quite a lot of coffee, roasted malts and a lot of tannins, plums, oak. Some sweet-sour feel to it. Low to medium carbonation, dry but also fairly light mouthfeel. Flavour is vinious, dry, lots of hard roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. There are plenty of tannins and a slight tartness to the oak. Still, the overall feel leaves me with some boozy notes which detract - especially considering how well SEVEN was barrel aged.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From bottle @ 2nd BBF. Almost black and opague. Chocolate and soy sauce overshadow the vinous notes in the aroma. The wine-like barrel notes are stronger in the flavor. Partly hidden soy sauce in the aftertaste. Good, but the balance could be better.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
375mL bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours black with a small tan head. Deep, dark aroma of dark fruits, licorice, vanilla, chocolate, booze and of course, red wine barrels. The flavour is very intense - quite different than the regular Black Hole - with licorice, vanilla, and some chocolate, accentuated by the red wine barrels. Slightly more lively carbonation than the base beer with an oily palate and a dry vinous, fruity, barrel-tinged, boozy finish. Excellent, but no where close to the original.
