Finally……! Black Hole is what Mikkeller is all about. Daring, vulgar and extreme. From the very beginning Mikkellers goal has been to push the limit and with this warming, intense imperial stout, a new chapter in the Danish beer history has been written. The high bitterness from the hops and the sweetness from the malt and alcohol, creates a good balance which makes Black Hole an explosion of nuances, but also leaves a feeling of a perfect and complex beer – in the heavyweight category.

Bottle. Black with tan head. Aroma is peach and soy sauce. Taste is the same but adds some coffee grounds and char. Oily mouthfeel. Pretty strange but not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bevuta alla spina, l’ho trovata davvero fantastica, nonostante corpo e gradazione se ne puň bere a dismisura. Decisamente caffettosa...

Éjfekete, sűrű ital a Mikkeller alkoholfok terén súlyos, mégis elegáns és kifinomult stílusú imperial stout-palettájáról, amelynél a füstös, nehéz és fekete aromáké a főszerep, s bár testesség tekintetében nyilvánvalóan semmi oka sincs a szégyenkezésre, azért mégis csak egy, a szokásosnál jobban komlóra komlóra hangolt szörnyetegről beszélünk. Zsíros, hamuban sült ízjegyek, melyek gazdag, kávés alapokon terpeszkednek, miközben a gazdag, vadvirágos és túlérett gyümölcsös hangulatok egymással vetekszenek. Fölénybe azonban egyikük sem kerül, ugyanis rendkívül kiegyensúlyozott a kép. Egy fekete ipás végszó éles zárása tesz aztán rendet, szigorúan vési be a névjegyét a szerkezetbe, maradandó nyomokat hagyva azon.

Alkoholia on. Se on selvä. Mutta on makuakin. Jotain ipamaisuutta tummassa sopivasti. Sävynä vain. Paksu olut. Syvä kuin nimensä.

Pours opaque black with a large brown head which begins effervescing away after a few minutes. Aroma is coffee, liquorice and a slight hint of vanilla. Taste is roast coffee, caramel sweet, cocoa bitter, coffee bitter, liquorice sweet, red berry tart. Full body.

800th beer rated. Tap at Clubhouse BFD. Pitch black, tan head. Aroma is chocolate, booze, some vanilla, really heavy, really intense. Reminds me of Bell?s expedition Stout. Flavor is booze, oak, vanilla, chocolate, really really robust. Damn good job.

This is phenomenal. I have been trying various stouts and porters this winter and this is certainly one of the best. The 12 oz green bottle is quite heavy fitting this 11% ABV dark rich brew. It was a very dark brown with hint of red pour with a tannish orange foam head. The aroma is coffee and vanilla overtones on a hoppy yet sweet nose. The initial taste is very potent toasted hops and coffee with a slightly sweet but stinging tang. As it settled in my mouth the bold stout soft’swith more sweetness and vanilla on top of a smokey oak. It gave me the sense of drinking coffee with Bailey’s Irish cream adjacent to an oak bonfire. While the initial taste had a sting, the finish was smooth and lingered with a taste like nutty oatmeal with brown sugar had been prepared with beer versus water. While potent, it was an exceptionally pleasant drinking experience.

Indeed this is an extraordinary treat. Loads of ingredients packed in one beer . Really enjoyably rich and outrageously strong. Lovely

Bottle in the Trembling Madness. Pours deep mahogany, almost black with a good beige head. Sweet molasses and vanilla aroma. The taste is spicy and slightly sour. There is lots of liquorice and treacle along with vanilla, coffee and light honey. Slightly medicinal. A little thinner bodied than expected. Very good.

On tap at hopaholic. Black colour with a small brown head. Nose of roasted malts with some notes of coffee. Taste is also dominated by black coffee. Medium carbonation. Nice beer.
