Finally……! Black Hole is what Mikkeller is all about. Daring, vulgar and extreme. From the very beginning Mikkellers goal has been to push the limit and with this warming, intense imperial stout, a new chapter in the Danish beer history has been written. The high bitterness from the hops and the sweetness from the malt and alcohol, creates a good balance which makes Black Hole an explosion of nuances, but also leaves a feeling of a perfect and complex beer – in the heavyweight category.

Aroma: wine, honey, pepper, lovely, dark malt. Vinous as hell, sourish, coffee, vanilla, very piny & powerful hops. Tabascolike scent. Preserved strawberries. Rose hip.
Flavour: Peppery, malty, coffee, chocolate fudge. Very peculiar bittersweet flowery backbone. Elderberry & honey. Overall on the bitter, dark malty & floral side. Oatmeal can be sensed. This is freaking magic. Vinous...
Apperance: reddish black, slightly cloudy body with brown rind. Brown beige superfine bubbles leaving a film of foam. Quite spectacular.
Palate: velvety, smooth. Vinous. Slippery & dry feeling.

375ml Bottle at Erzbierschof in Liebefeld, Switzerland. Pours not as black as the name suggests, but it still looks nice, with a brown head. Much chocolate and dark, roasted malt in the aroma as well as in taste. Reminds me very strongly of hot chocolate. A delicious, full-bodied imperial stout which is well worth its money.

Nice and surprising smoked aroma, nice foam and the first impression of a sour taste whom goes over to sweet and coffee after taste whom last for a long time. Wonderfully, enjoy if you can get hold of one! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Roast, coffee, licorice, a lot of licorice, some dark fruits, plums, raisin, some back end alcohol. Super nice, and super well combined, a real explosion of flavour. Medium mouthfeel, maybe a bit too heavy on the alcohol.

Bottle sampled at Classic City Brew Fest 2014. Pours a dark brownish black with bubbly tan brown head. Aroma is big on the roast with a boozy back end and some added sugary sweetness, molasses or honey. Taste follows, big and boozy. Very nice.
