Finally……! Black Hole is what Mikkeller is all about. Daring, vulgar and extreme. From the very beginning Mikkellers goal has been to push the limit and with this warming, intense imperial stout, a new chapter in the Danish beer history has been written. The high bitterness from the hops and the sweetness from the malt and alcohol, creates a good balance which makes Black Hole an explosion of nuances, but also leaves a feeling of a perfect and complex beer – in the heavyweight category.

375ml bottle at Brauwerk Tasting shared by Sebilinz. BB 10/2018. black color, small coffee-colored head. smells of leather, sourish, some spices, a bit glueish. full body, soft carbonation, full mouthfeel. tastes of strong leather, malty roast, sourish, spices, quite alcoholic. finishes with quite strong leather notes and alcohol. not a fan with this one, quite strong alcoholic and quite strong leather notes. Dont think I would drink this again..

0,33 l pullo @ Ottakringer Brauerei. Samea tummanruskea. Tuoksussa paahteista mallasta ja hedelmää selvästi. Maussa paksusti mallasta ja alkoholia. Tuhtia.

From tap at Mikkeller & Friends, Reykjavik. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, cocoa, chocolate, fruity notes, cherries, hops. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Body is medium to full. A rather hoppy Imperial Stout, nice...

No niestety chyba trafiłem w jakiś gorszy egzemplarz. Alkohol dominuje, szczypie i drażni. W smaku są oczywiście te smaki które decydują o imperialności piwa, jednak jako całość źle się to pije.

Tap at Gar Eden. Aroma of caramel, cocoa, chocolate, little smoke and spice, roast, just a hint of booze. Taste is good, very smooth, surprisingly easy drinking, roast, malty sweetness, bit of bitterness, gets more full on as it warms, more bitterness, more booze, black treacle, rich, actually increasingly bitter. Preferred it at the start.

37.5cl bottle at home from Only Good Beer, Budapest. Body is black, head is medium, brown, rocky, average lasting, good lacing. Nose is sweetish light smoky roasty, flavor is chocolate, coffee liqueur, chocolate mousse, bonbon, light red wine, Belgian yeast. Light sweet, heavy roasty bitter, light sour. Finish is long lasting roasty heavy bitter, medium cherry sour, heavy alcohol warmth, later more hops, more bitterness. Full body, slightly sticky texture, average carbonation. Not that heavy, nice dessert beer, reminds me of some Belgian strong dark ales with more hoppy bitterness.

Cloudy very dark brown color, average sized brownish head. Aroma of cocoa, dark chocolate, coffee. Taste is very boozy, warming, slightly acidic, coffee, chocolate, hops and some fruitiness. Full body, lively carbonation. Very intense and long finish. Good, not great.

375 ml bottle, vint. 2012. Gloomy black with good tan foam. Powerfull aroma: aged strong wine, alcohol, roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, vanilla, flowers and old wood. Strong and very warming taste: vintage port, sour cherry, coffee with chocolate and vanilla, cognac, oxidation, wood. Really great old stout! For New Horizons!
