Draft @ Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty coffee and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty coffee and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty coffee finish with hints of chocolate.

Pours dark brown with a large tan head and some small floating white chunks...
Nose shows overt chocolate and roasted malt along with some fresh roasted coffee. Lovely.
Sweet flavour, more chocolate and softer coffee. A bit too sugary sweet though.
Could use more carbonation and a thicker body.

Bruce’s Birthday Bash at the Craft Clerkenwell. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, tiny tan head. Smooth palate with minerally carbonation. Pleasant dark chocolate, mildly sweet. Underneath is well buried and slightly bitter dark fruits. But it’s all about the chocolate here. Nice beer!

Keg at CBC - Clerkenwell, London during Bruce’s 30th Birthday Party. Many thanks to Kenny. Pours murky brown with a light, beige cream head. Rich dark coffee aroma. Medium sweet flavor with dark sugars, coffee, toast, brown sugar, brown bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Faintly syrupy. Lightly drying to finish with some earth, brown sugar and toasty bread, more coffee. Decent stuff overall.

General brown sugar sweetness. The taste is more artificial coffee creamer. Sugar-coated chestnut. Chocolate syrup. Just a very sweet beer, really. Slightly thin profile. Overall, one of Mikkeller’s weakest beers. Not one I’d return to...

Nose is dark malts, toffee, chocolate.
Taste comprises roast malt, chocolate, light coffee notes akin to espresso/tirimasu.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, roast coffee finish.
Good stuff.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell. It pours cloudy brown with a light tan head. The nose is chocolate, caramel, milky chocolate, earth and leather. The taste is caramel, chocolate, lactose, earth, light burnt notes, faitn spice, dryness, wood and leather with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. So-so.

Clear dark brown colour with a average, open and frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, cocio - chocolate. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, cocio - chocolate, milk chocolate, milky, sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130107]
