wow, my first great lager, impressive, IPA smell (tropical fruit), tons of hops but not over bitter, refreshing, i’m speechless...it’s a lager, really?

33 cl. bottle @ home: hazy amber with an orange hue around the sides and an off-white head – S & T: amazing early hops mixed with a touch of pine resin, leathery malts, followed by an incredible lingering grass bitterness & touch of floral – B: dry & bitter – bit like one of their single IPA’s only with 2 kinds of hops this time around – either way this is an amazing beer – simple but extremely effective in its simplicity

Shared bottle @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Great golden color, large white head. Great aroma of citrusy american hops. Flavors of fresh, crisp hops, and some piney notes. Good balance! We were thinking of how awesome this lager would be together with a juicy burger. Great lager!

Blown away by this one! My first Mikkeller beer and wow! Lovely pine forest, skunky aroma and a lovely smooth taste on the palate. Reminds me of a nicer and smoother version of brooklyn lager. A west coast style lager that to a regular lager drinker would probably confuse the he’ll out of them.

Bottle purchased at West Lakeview Liquors. Pours a rather active rich copper, white head, spots of lace. Smells sweet and a little hoppy. Tastes sweet and a little bitter, very crisp, clean and supper refreshing.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.0%. Deep golden colour, large white (or slightly off-white) head. Wonderful aroma of fruity American hops, notes of apricots and tropical fruits, hints of pine too. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, again with said fruity and piney notes, but never too bitter. Not sweet, but has still enough malts to support the hops. Extremely refreshing and likeable.

Bottle, 33cl, home. Poured into Pills glass. Good lacing. Hazy-orange appearance which is also murky. Loads of grapefruit, citrus and pine on aroma. Sharp on the tongue, grapefruit, peaches, citrus, pine, candy a bit of toffee in the texture and an abundance of US hops. A very hoppy lager. Something I can drink frequently and enjoy to every last drop. An excellent adaptation of the US style. Drinkability is outstanding, finish is fruity and medium. Excellent.
