4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
It’s a 330ml bottle and is spot on for strength, coming in at 4.7%. It poured, perhaps with zero surprise, a pale, hazy orange colour with a 2-finger white head. Carbonation was reasonable, if not particularly strong. The aroma is heavily dominated by orange with just a subtle hint of light malt. It’s smooth on the palate with the taste coming across as a very fresh glass of orange juice. You wouldn’t think it was a Pilsner at all. But wait for it…The bitter hop-led citrus finish is complemented by an underlying dry, slight mineral edge.
Mikkeller have pulled it off again. Just. It may only really reveal its Pilsner roots at the very end but it’s still a very refreshing summer beer nonetheless.

Big off-white head with clear citrusy flavours. Doesn’t really taste like a lager, which is nice. From bottle at Ica maaseskjæret.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Mikkeller Tokyo for Mikkeller Running Club #2. Clear gold with a nice big off-white soapy head. Nose is all orange zest with some orange juice sweetness that is detectable. Taste is very similar with good juiciness. Fruity but not sweet with a nice crisp dry finish. Perfect after running the Mikkeller 5K.

Unclear orange golden color with a solid nice white head. Looks really inviting. Nice aroma. Oranges and citric hoppy. Mmmmm. Nice fresh bitterness and a semi dry texture. Lots of oranges that are well blended in here. Yummi. Citric and fruity also. Lovely lager.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from ICA Maaseskjæret, Bergen. Pours a near-clear pale golden body with a small white head. Nose is heavy citrus tones, pale malts, straw and hints of orange peel and floral notes. Taste is pale malts, straw, citrus, grass and hints of citric zest, floral notes and mild oranges. Light body, medium to high carbonation. Nice, light, drinkable and refreshing. Very citrusy without going overboard. Pretty much on the target they aimed for, I guess.

On tap at Cafe Sara, april 18th 2015. Hazy light orange body with a lasting big white head. Aroma of pale malt and orange. Sweet malty taste with grass and ripe orange. Good fruit finish, would like it a bit dryer.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is hoppy, with tropical fruits, berries, orange peel, and grassy notes, as well as some sweet, lightly roasted malts. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is bitter, citrusy hops, with grapefruit, orange peel, and light berry and tropical notes,as well as malts with bread and toffee. All the hoppiness could easily have been an overkill, but somehow it balances out as a nice, chill pils.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home. The beer is clear and has a classic straw-like , golden color. The foam is great and is similar to whipped egg white. A bit carbonation as well. The first thing that hits my nose testify that it definitely is a Czech-like pilsner as a base with tones of Saaz hops and lemon, dry hay and pale malt. Further there’s tropical fruits, fresh cut grass and fruity hops, In the taste it is even more fruity hops with touches of orange (" shocking "), grapefruit and more dry hay. The ending is somewhat dry. Mouth feel is light and smooth, and the beer has a nice balanced bitterness. This really is a fresh and fruity beer, and emerges as a combination between a typical fruity American pale ale and a pilsner. Slightly more pilsner had perhaps been preferable between all the fruit otherwise, but certainly a solid beer.
