Dark brown, active body with small tan lace. Very nice aroma balancing sweet fruity yeast, sticky fig, raisins and some woody aromas. Sweet sticky base taste, bit it makes for a very full mouth feel. Sugary ending. Taste is rich, fruity, strawberry, cinnamon, apple. Very nice. Sweet yeast base. It’s a desert beer. Yum! (75cl bottle, present from Erica & Martijn when moving to France)

Krämig och fin. Inte överväldigande, men det smakar i vilket fall riktigt bra. Jag gillar.

Dark cloudy amber pour. Sweet aroma of melon, plums, and candy sugar. Taste is also sweet, with some citrusy and hoppy notes. Loving it.

Smell of yeast and mango. Red-brown with nice white head. Taste of blood, spices and sour. Not a recommendation from me

Deep plum .. Mild foam .. Sweet tartness .. Bitter finish .. . Are frogs a common hazard in a jungle? Has anyone ever died from being attacked by a frog? And he has a gun? Who the hell goes around shooting frogs?

Cigar City / Mikkeller Swinging Harry Tropical Quad featuring papaya, mango, simcoe and citra hops and aged in grand marnier barrels with brett C. This sounds like a totally insane beer that is all over the place but in reality the fruit and crazy hops and weird barrel end up being really subtle and complimentary. A touch of tropical character here, a hint of orange there, but mostly all delicious brown sugar quad. The base quad style is a little on the less dark and rich side of say Gulden Draak which was somehow the right place for all the other fruit and hops to come in, all in all it was actually really enjoyable. The old school Pitfall! video game inspired label is sweet.

Big nose of booze when first poured into my glass. Body appears to be dark brown complete with a thick tan cap floating on top. Uggggg.... why did I just open 750ml of 11.4% beer this late at night by my self. Thick sweet aroma with massive pepper, apple, grape juice, more stuff. The booze is so heavy it be burning my nostrils. Wow that’s a lot of flavour. Weltchers white grape juice, cherry, molasses, peppery notes, so very intense. I can start to hit banana and clove but it took a while. So very intense this is potent shit I mean I feel this almost concentrate beer. Nothing bad to say really but I’m not overly excited to finish the rest of this massive bottle. Only half done....I’m drunk!

2/23/13. 750mL bottle at the RBWG Grand Tasting... thanks to everyone who pitched in! Rich amber pour with a good khaki head. Crazy aroma with sweet, dark fruits, brown sugar, molasses, some tropical fruitiness, sugars, and a touch of funkiness. Equally goofy flavor that is similar - like a quad combined with some funk and fruit, with a touch of that orange barrel coming through. Tasty, interesting.

750mL at RBWG Grand Tasting thanks to drowland, et al for procuring. Pours a clear, deeper amber. Nice head formation. Nose is oxidized apple, acetaldehyde. Moves eventually to Grand Marnier barrel. Taste is dense, silky, loads of rich candied orange peel and sweetened Grand Marnier cognac, stickier, lots of Southern sweet tea, dissolved sugar cube, spearmint. Palate is dense, thicker, sugar in suspension.
