What an epic disaster of a cream ale. This is the Waterworld of cream ales. Draft at Hawthorne’s. Pour’s cloudy gold (strike 1) with minimal white head and no lace. Nose of hay, diacetyl and hops (strike 2). Medium to light body, quite bitter (strike 3) with some astringent resin flavor. The Milli Vanilli of cream ales. The Pluto Nash of cream ales. So insanely off the mark. Call this what it is. A very, very shitty pale ale. Epic failure.

Part of the 2014 Mikkeller Feature and the LCBO. The beer pours a hazed metallic gold with a white ring for a head. The aroma is grainy malt, light caramel, weak floral hops, and metallic notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt, some citrusy notes and weak caramel. This is a nice refreshing beer.

Golden pour with little head. Aroma is malty and amazing. Taste is malty with cereal notes. Mouthfeel almost perfect. Not much much to be said.

330 ml bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass.

App.: Hazy deep golden with a rocky bright white head. Aroma: Strong grapefruit hops, a bit of lemon and some cat pee, green bitter herbs, a little biscuit/bready malt, no corn to speak of... Palate: Medium body, a bit slick with relaxed carbonation, Flav.: The hop flavour is more resinous and dank, with much less citrus and still some cat pee; dry with fairly good bitterness and a pleasantly light malt and resin/citrus finish.

Hardly a Cream Ale...tasty nonetheless.

Una discreta cream ale arricchita da note leggermente agrumate e di pino. Un po’ acquosa. Ma sicuramente un’ottima bevuta, memorabile!

Cloudyish golden color, huge white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, malt. Light sweet, light bitter taste. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Thin, flat and pretty disappointing.

330ml bottle. Cloudy gold with a frothy white head. Flavors are crisp pale cereals, bread, citrus and herbal hops with floral and soapy notes. Light body, moderate carbonation, smooth texture.

Bottle 0,33l, bought at Hoppiness in Koper (Slovenia). Pale hazy liquid with big head. Medium body and carbonation. Very strange aroma, cannot define it. Disappointing.

[Bottle (330ml)] Pours a cloudy, bubbly gold with an average size frothy off-white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma of wheat, grain, cereal malt, light fruit and very light grassy hops. Flavour of grain and cereal malt along with some fruit and a finish which is more bitter then expected. Average bodied. Overall it’s fine, but not something I’d drink again, not my thing.

Mikkeller Cream ale has a very intense aroma of dry hops, it appears pale with a thin head. the taste is light-medium bitter, and the palate and finish is very dry!
