3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Draft at Mikkeller & Friends, Nov. ’13) Black with a hazel brown, lasting head. Aroma of liquorice, plums, sweet roastiness and port wine. The mouthfeel is dense and oily with sweetness and lots of bitterish liquorice and booze. There’s dark, dried fruits, port and some nutmeggy/cinammonny cake-feeling I can’t put a finger on, maybe it’s the coffee.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
01-NOV-2013, bottle @home, from Kihoskh.
Black, almost no head. Only giant bubbles, so few I can almost count them. But they die quickly leaving a blank surface.
Aroma is roast, port wine, alcohol. Taste is roast, port wine, alcohol, cocoa flour, chocolate. Amazing taste. Really love the red wine/port wine stuff.
Full body, a little tartness, no carbonation. Petty with the carbonation. Would have been so much better with carbonation but still a very tasty brew.
