(Draught at Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 26 Jan 2013) Black colour with brief, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, chocolate and oak wood. Quite vinous. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, burnt sugar, liquorice and a generous roasted bitterness in a finish with vinous and warming hints of alcohol. Full body, quite sweet and powerful. Hardly subtle, but very nice.

Draught. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter wonderfull flavor. Long great complex finish. Creamy palate. Great stuff.

Tap @ Ølbaren. Huge brown head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, coffee, chocolate, licorice and hops. Long long finish.

Tap. Black with thick beige lacing head. Aroma is coffee, vanilla, milk chocolate, mild roast. Taste is heavy sweet, thick and creamy texture, soft carbonation, full body. Soft and warm finish with the same notes as the aroma that slowly fades. Winner.

Chopp. Pitch black colour, small creamish like light brown head. Sweet well roasted maltiness with chocolate and coffee in the aroma along with dark fruit. Good filling mouthfeel indeed. Pleasantly sweet very well roasted maltiness in the flavour with good chocolate along with some coffee, dark fruit and licorice. Yummmeee!

Draft - Dark roast coffee, liquorice, spice and some sweetness. Pitch brown black with a minimal brown head. Coffee, chocolate, alcohol and a menthol sweetness. Nice and thick on the palate.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Opaque black liquid with small tan head. Aroma of coffee, ash, round chocolate, raw sugar, port and licorice. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of coffee, chocolate and raw sugar. Full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Awesome, lots of fresh coffee.

Tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head, leaving a fair lacing on the glass. Nose of roasted malts, vanilla, chocoklate and coffee notes. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, chocolate and licorice notes, hops are precent too. Full bodied, oily texture and soft CO2. Ends up more dry with alcohol notes. A masterbrew. ★★★★★
