COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

0,33 l. bottle from Irma Østerport. Clear, amber colour with a medium sized white head, that left some nice laceing. Sweet and fruity aroma with "Far-eastern"-spices like coriander, lemon grass and malts (not Far-Eastern!). The taste is lightly sweet with caramel malts and notes of exotic spices. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft carbonation. Nice, lasting finish with "Far-Eastern spices." Unusual ingredients but a well-balanced beer.

Bottle courtesy of a trade with Rasmus40. Pours a clear golden amber with a moderate-large linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of caramel, malt and just a bit of lemongrass. The flavor is similar with malt, caramel and just a bit of lemongrass. I really did not pick up the coriander in the aroma or the flavor. Medium bodied. Nice solid beer.

330ml bottle picked up at the Irma store at Illum. Solid amount of lacework from a decent white head. Clear copper coloured body. Mild spicy aroma with notes of lemon. Coriander, malts and lemon in flavour. Grassy, herbal dry ending. Ok brew with a refreshing feel (hotel room, Copenhagen 03.11.2011).

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Nice clear orange pour with a small white head. Head disappears quickly but leaves some nice lacing. Nose is all lemon grass and coriander with a touch of ginger and light biscuit. Lots of ginger and coriander in the taste. A touch of nutmeg throughout. A very sharp lemon finish which cuts off all other flavours instantly. Lively carbonation but finishes far too quickly on the palate. Not too bad - will definitely go with asian food

Clear amber body with a white head. Great hoppy aroma with orange, caramel and spices. Fully carbonated palate. Nice spicy and hoppy flavour with a dry finish.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear amber-gold, with a large white head, which lasts quite well, but does not leave much lace. There is a bit of caramel malt on the nose, along with mild lemongrass and mashed coriander from a jar, as opposed to fresh coriander. Very mild grassy hops provide a nice backdrop to a nice level of lemongrass flavour to start. A fairly light body has a touch of caramel and some white bread, moving into more processed coriander in the finish. This is a fairly decent beer, I think. It is pretty straightforward, and the beer itself is clearly made to be a vehicle for its exotic ingredients, rather than shining through its own merits. That said, however, I think this would go fantastically well with a nice Thai stir-fry or jungle curry, and since it is designed to go with food of that style, it has clearly succeeded.

maledictum (555) - Pyongyang, NORTH KOREA - OCT 15, 2011
Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of sweet matl, coriader, and lemon. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of lemongrass, medium notes of coriader, on a lightly malty finish, leading to a dry bitter finish.
