Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium.

’Fad bamse’ is a highly hopped and dry hopped imperial pilsner with a light body and lovely crispyness from the lager yeast.
A Danish pilsner is typically characterized by an alcohol content of 4,6% vol., piss-yellow colour and a sexless, slightly bitter taste. But it doesn’t have to be like this…! Draft Bear is Mikkellers interpretation of a ’pilsner’, heavyweight-style. With its powerful hop notes, high alcohol content and lovely golden appearance, the only reference to the pilsner style is the clean taste of the lager yeast.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pils, carapils and amber), light candy sugar, hops (amarillo and cascade) and lager yeast.

Nice light caramel slightly hazy pour with off white head, sticky lacing. Nose starts with some citrus and florral hop aromas leading to slightly roasty sweet malt character. Flavor is again citrus hops up front, medium bitterness, some pine coupled with a well balanced malt sweetness. Finishes toward a pleasant grasswy note, some soapy notes from the hops. This drinks very easily. body is slightly creamy with mild carbonation. Another winner from Mikkel.

Bottle at the no Greg tasting, courtesy of Harry, shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, Jerc, and Mabel. Dark yellow, big bubbly thick head. Nice. Pleasant aroma - soft malt, floral notes, some faint hops. Good taste - rather hoppy up front, nice sweetness behind it, really orange citrus fruity. Simple yet very good.

Courtesy Beerlando. Clear golden pour, moderately thick light white head. Mild sweet aroma with some Saaz notes atop some musky wet grains. Lightly carbonated. Sweet grainy taste, no real alcohol influence on the taste, mild Saaz presence is apparent through to the finish. Clean overall. A nice brew, but somehow not entirely impressive.

More gratitude to the STL guys for sharing another choice beer. Pours golden / amber with a light off-white head. The aroma has lots of pils malt, grassy hops, cream, smoothness, some sugariness, light onions and grapefruit. Medium crisp body with normal pils style carbonation. The flavor starts more pils-like than most of these impy pils beers. It is grassy with lightly sweet pale malt ans spicy. The finish remain grassy and is very clean. Nice beer.

Bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a very hazy orange-amber with an average size lasting frothy white head. Nice hoppy aroma along with caramel malt, some grain and fruit. Flavour: Mmm, that’s tasty! Pleasantly hoppy backed by caramel malt. Nice long bitter finish. Alcohol’s reasonably well hidden. Medium bodied. Very good!

Pours mostly clear, very lightly hazy, orange-amber body. A bubbly, fizzy, off-white head leaves minimal, spotty lacing behind. The aroma is quite hoppy, showing notes of wild grasses, orange rind, and moderate resin over doughy yeast notes and sweet, pale malts. The flavor puts the dry hopping on full display, with the potent grassy and citrus notes being balanced by a considerable, bready, sugary sweetness. The substantial body is sticky up front, moving towards a dry, bitter, slightly astringent finish. Decent brew, but a little strange and just off target.

bottle from west lakeview..... pours a semi hazy orange brown with a thin soapy white head..... nose was primarily of light tropical fruit hops and citrus notes..... flavors continue on a similar path. sweet sugary malt with tropical and citrus fruits. light and fluffy on the palate but nothing to make this one shine.... expensive but worth a try in my mind.

Pours a substantial golden amber with a one finger white head. The aroma is fairly strong, sweet, bitter hoppy, a little grassy and citrusy. Bitter waxy flavor, sweet, sweet, rich, light alcohol. Nice to try But I would like it in something smaller than a 750 for cheaper than 14 dollars.
