COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Mikkeller at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium.

’Fad bamse’ is a highly hopped and dry hopped imperial pilsner with a light body and lovely crispyness from the lager yeast.
A Danish pilsner is typically characterized by an alcohol content of 4,6% vol., piss-yellow colour and a sexless, slightly bitter taste. But it doesn’t have to be like this…! Draft Bear is Mikkellers interpretation of a ’pilsner’, heavyweight-style. With its powerful hop notes, high alcohol content and lovely golden appearance, the only reference to the pilsner style is the clean taste of the lager yeast.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pils, carapils and amber), light candy sugar, hops (amarillo and cascade) and lager yeast.

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers, BB 07-12-2014.

Scopey (3243) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 28, 2012
Tap at Craft Beer Co Brighton. It pours cloudy amber, with a thin white head. The nose is orange squash, resin, touch of grass and citrus pith. The taste is citrus pith, spice, pine, resin, brown bread, orange squash, marmalade and a touch of alcohol warmth, with a long, bitter-dry finish. Full flavour, yet still easy drinking.

Pale orange or golden pour and big head. Smells like malt yeast licorice citrus and grass. Smell is sweet. Taste is heavy thick roasted malts, licorice and soap. Very boozy. Almost has the residue taste of vodka or a silver tequila.

Bottle back from West Lakeview liquors. Pours clear deep golden, wispy off white head that sits quite nicely. Distinct De Proef yeast, dank hops, grass, and spearmint on the nose. Nice hop profile bitterness and classic Mikkeller malt sweetness base. Quite drinkable and an interesting take on an Imperial pilsner. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden coloured beer, a nice big and good sticky head. Very hoppy and grass at the smell. Mixture of sweet bitter and citrussy is pretty decent.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours golden with a huge white head that fades leaving some lacing. Aroma is caramel malt and citrusy, floral hops. Taste is caramel malt and citrus hops with an ever so slightly bitter finish.

A really unexpected taste. Some odd skunkwater aroma that actually goes down well. Strong alcohol aftertaste. Creamy, heady, great tracing. Tried on tap at the Farmhouse Tap and Grill in Burlington.
