clear golden white head
flavor is near perfect for my taste in a strong pilsene. still has the fresh pilsener taste, but so much more powerful. overall best pilsener i ever tasted. talon1117 (416), Bellvue, Colorado, USA Sep 10, 2008 Pours a cloudy, dark golden, amber color with a brilliant white, full, creamy, and rocky head; lace is plentiful and sporatic while longevity is good. Nose is pleasant with lots of bitter oranges, a nice floral note, caramel, cookie, and light grass. Flavor is similar with a great malt backbone of caramel and light biscuit and cookie; hop notes include lots of bitter oranges, lavender, light grass, light pepper, and some grapefruit peel. Palte is moderately full, soft to lively, somewhat creamy but still crisp in texture. Finishes long with more pepper making a presence, bitter oranges still lingering, grapefruit peel, and the moderately high bitterness making its full presence. A highly drinkable Imp Pils with a smooth palate and great hop flavors. Even with all the complementary malt and hop notes, the beer remains crisp. Not the best Imp Pils I’ve tried but one of the most drinkable and well put together lagers.
