4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
75 cl bottle at Ørsted Ølbar. I think this was my first Imperial Pilsner and I definately want more. I wonder how a lager yeast ends up with such an impressive and interesting result. Hoppy (grapefruit, grass) and fruity (peaches). Great bitter finish that leaves you craving for more.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a brilliant hazy copper with a thick head that lasts a long time; lots of lacing. Interesting almost bready toasty malt aroma. Heavy sweet malt presence in the flavor balanced by mild earthy hoppiness. Some light citrus notes in the background. Has a very dry finish characteristic of a pilsner. I’d say that this is a fantastic beer and I had no idea a lager could be this flavorful. Highly recommended.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Best before 16/10/16. Pours a slightly hazy orange colour with a thin white head. Aroma is light marmalade, a little bread. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. A little caramel, marmalade, lemon zest, grapefruit, warming booze. Despite the sweeter notes it's still fairly crisp and fresh. Nice balance - tasty.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, örter, jäst och brunt socker. Riktigt frisk och fyllig, fin fruktighet och med en tydlig beska som avslutning. Riktig fin imperial pilsner.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Quite orange for a pilsener. Smells hoppy in a cheesy way, yeasty, a bit of grassiness, quite metallic. Tastes flavourful for a pilsener - hoppy with a sharp copper-y taste. Body is full
for a pilsener - oily with a dry finish. Good for a pilsener, but then again pilseners have never been that exciting

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours cloudy deep golden color with a pillowy just off white head. Slightly sweet malt and city's notes in the aroma. Mouthfeel is fairly thick and slightly sweet. A touch of spice comes through with the grainy citrus flavor.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Dark gold pour with a middling off-white head. Citrus and hops predominant in the nose., with the hops once more taking centre-stage in the flavour alongside some caramel, fruit and booze . A very drinkable take on a style that isn’t my favourite and verges on ipa territory.

Magnum via Beerworld Kingston. First of the day on day four of fix everything at the house at once. So yes, this was needed at 10 am. It was either that or I may not be able to go back to work tomorrow....and what do you think would happen then? Hmm? Yeah, I would stay home in pain and still probably work on a project in the basement. So, with that in mind, I set out and drank this beer this morning. Yum! An pungent pine sap and sweet malt nose erupts from the magnum. Body is full. Strong malts and grainy yeast. Curtailed by the acrid hop bite that goes just a touch too far reining back the malts. Second third and fourth quaffs slowly relax my spasm ridden back. To the point that I found my self on the riding mower singing Irish drinking songs whilst mowing about the hop yard. Bliss!
