Flavour is also sweet, but with a bitter twist. Notes of sugar, bananas, dried fruits, some hops and decent dose of alcohol. Short aftertaste.

MoritzF (9448) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - SEP 30, 2011
(draught at Festival der Bierkulturen 2010, Köln) Hazy, amber colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Toast-malty aroma with notes of sweet liquorice and a whiff of smoke and hops. Full bodied with an oily mouthfeel. Hearty malt-character with moderate to subtle notes of dried fruits; sweet and slightly hop- and roasty bitter finish with present notes of alcohol. Nevertheless a well-balanced brew. 16.V.10

maneliquor (3484) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - SEP 4, 2011
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a dirty chestnut brown with a small off white head. Decent lacing left. Smells of over ripe dark fruits and bitter coffee - lots of plums, raisins and cherries. A slight sweetness throughout. Taste comes across as burnt and bitter coffee beans with a lingering sweetness of ripened plum and raisins. Brown sugar notes in there as well. A long, dry bitterness left on the palate. Pretty average
