375mL thanks to CaptainCougar. A long time want list item if only for the crazy presentation of the bottle. The pour is a hazy deep maroon/mahogany with a larger yellow head. Webby lace remains. Aroma is rum raisin, cinnamon, cookie, sweet maple, alcohol. Taste is ashy, bitter, lemon, sweet syrup. Watery palate. Not sure the point of this one.

Big sweet and boozy nose with lots of toffee and dark fruit. The taste is very sweet, moderately bitter, lots of toffee, lots of raisins, lots of astringent crystal malt. Bleh.

375ml bottle, gold foil bag: Pours a clear deep copper amber with a spotty-lacing beige head. Has a lightly sweet toasty biscuity dark caramel malty nose with some light fruity esters. Starts with a finely-dissolved carbonation and lightly sweet caramel maltiness with some oxidation and light fruits before a drier biscuity finish with some lingering peppery warmth. A pretty decent Belgian strong ale, but could hide its alcohol a little better.

Bottle shared by CaptainCougar. Pours hazy tawny with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light to spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toast, bread), average hops (floral, herbal), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of brown sugar, alcohol, dates, and pepper. Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toast, bread), average hops (floral, herbal), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of brown sugar, alcohol, dates, and pepper. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation with a dry and biting/spicy finish.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a brown color with an off-white head. The aroma is a mix of nuts, caramel malt and a little bit of fruit - mainly apples. The flavor is similar but a little more complex. I get some caramel and toffee malt, but also some nuts, molasses and brown sugar. The alcohol is also detectable but is not overpowering. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Interesting beer but nothing too exciting.
