14/I/2012 1.5L magnum bottle @ RBBWG 2012 - BB: n/a - bottle # 166/1300 (2012-57) Thanks to ships77 for bringing the bottle!

Little cloudy, reddish brown beer, aery irregular head, yellowish, bit stable, very adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, pineapple, stinky feet, cheesy, sweet touch. MF: good carbon, full body. Taste: fruity, passion fruit, piny, bitter resin, citrus touches, sweet malts too. Aftertaste: very bitter and dry.

1.5L magnum @ RBBWG 2012, Antwerpen courtesy of 77ships. Ambrée/cuivrée, léger trouble, col beige épais. Arôme est plein de grains et levure, assez poussiéreux avec un profile houblonnée. En bouche, houblonné et fruité sur note d’épice, le tout ayant une belle présence de malt. Houblonné et herbacé domine un peu le tout suivi d’un fini caramel et une levure qui reste bien présente. Je pensais plus à une version IPA et comme souvent on ressent le même profile de DeProef qui reste toujours présent.

Massive Mikkeller pt.2 Another bottle provided by an ever generous trader in CA, you rock dude. This one was past it’s prime sadly. Carbonation was a little dead, as was the flavor. You could tell it was something special when it was fresh but not today.

Magnum. Poured slightly hazy medium amber with a very tall, creamy, sticky, beige head. The aroma picked up peppery and earthy yeast, darker fruits, and sour, more tropical fruits.. some oxidation was setting in.. just a little biscuity sweetness beneath.. seemed like it was degrading a bit. The flavor was fairly sour throughout, with fruity skins leading.. peppery and fruity yeast throughout.. pale and biscuity malts supported.. lots of tart oxidation and fruity notes on the long finish. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. dry and a little stale feeling.. more sour than I needed, and the bitterness didn’t really help.. this may have been better at one point, but it didn’t work for me.

Deep brown (with some reddish shine) to black, cloudy body. Slightly off-white head. Aroma of hops: flowers, orange, apple, pomelo, ... Harshly bitter (of great hops), light sweet flavour (and some spices): perfect marriage.

Bouteille de 1.5 l, obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie, partagée avec des amis lors d’un souper. Arôme: Odeur de caramel fruité avec une pointe d’épices. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée foncée. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel fruité avec une pointe d’épices et d’houblons. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement houblonné. (Rating #3953)

RBESG Sheffield 2009 Grand Tasting @ the Harlequin. Reddish brown color, lasting off white head. A hop explosion in the aroma. The same applies for the flavour. A mixture of hops, grass,pine,fruit, flower. Sticky. Vera very enjoyable brew.

Bottle courtesy of papsoe. Pours dark brown with a thick tan head. Smells of raisins, prunes, some tartness, spicy, caramel, peppery. Tastes of resiny hops, fruity, some spicy elements, velvety mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Clear amber colour with a nice big head. Smells caramel, hopy, bit too sweet, nout fruity enough. Tastes very bitter, grapefruit, citrus and caramel. Much co2 but okay.

Bottle @ Joes Tasting shared with Joes and Dutchdrebus. Best before May 1st 2019. Bottle 725 of 1300 handwritten on the bottle label. Nice clear red color, vast thick off-white to beige head. Smell leather, mint, sweet, light hops, overripe fruits and alcohol. Taste sweet, caramel, spices, mint, fruits and hops. Carbo firm but good. After a while it gets better and better. Smells more hoppy and softer, taste more hops and softer carbo. Would now give 3,8/3,9.
