BOSSbrewer (2685) - Arkansas, USA - JUN 17, 2015
Bottle shared at a tasting at Guinn’s house. Pours amber with no head. Aroma is nutty, caramel, lots of dark fruits. Flavor follows and is really sweet and syrupy. More nuttiness and some spiciness that wasn’t in the Centre light toasted which we did side by side. Overall, a nice sipping beer to share.

Bottle. An unclear dark golden beer with some floaties. Almost no head. The aroma is quite boozy, with canned sugary tropical fruits and some camphor. Even more booze. It’s full bodied, warming as hell, sticky sweet and almost flat on the palate. The flavor is fruity and sugary with too much alcohol. Lasting finish. Way, way too boozy this one, just like the other beers in this series. 150522

SmoketreeBrewr (15) - Arizona, USA - MAY 21, 2015
Appearance is dark amber with little to no head. Aroma of ripe peaches and raisons. Tastes like caramelized raisons with a hint of oak and a slight booziness but no where near the booze burn I expected for a 19+% barley wine. Overall a very tasty brew to finish out the night. Will do well with some age.

5th bottle at the Fermentoren Aarhus French oak tasting.More haze than the others (in my glass at least), No head. Aroma is very oaky, vinous and tart. Boozy, plums, spicy dry, apples. Taste is sweet and citric tart. Slight hard cheese/parmesan. Very fat and greasy. Probably the best one in my opinion.

Bottle #5 at French Oak Tasting at Fermentoren Århus. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is more vinous than the base beer and has a little bit more booze in the aroma. Also more toasted. The taste is very vinous and has lots of tannin, caramel and port notes. Very good and with a very long duration.
