Bottle, 375cl. A hazy, dark orange-golden beer with a minimal off-white head. The aroma is quite boozy, very boozy in fact, with fruityness, peaches, piney hints and sugary sweetness. It’s very sweet on the palate, fruity and resiny, with booze and peaches. It’s full-bodied and warming, with a soft carbonation level. Lasting boozy finish with lots of fruityness and sweetness. Overall, way too boozy this one, but there’s sure some nice qualities going on. 150124

Bottle 375ml @ Geokkjer
Pours hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, boozy, fruity and caramel finish. Body is full, texture is oily to sticky, carbonation is soft to flat.

Pinball (10999) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 19, 2015
clear golden, small white head. boozy aroma of malts, caramel, wood, phenolic feeling to the aroma if you sniff fast. still, aroma seems more rounded as millenium as i remember it, so you could argue the aroma is sort of soft for that high an abv. flavor is warming, malts, very nice soft caramelly note, alcohol and wood add bitterness. compared with many kinds of booze at much larger abv, this one is still tasty, and should perhaps be enjoyed like a good whisky rather than like a good barleywine. Not worth the price you pay for it, but it is an experience that you probably won’t get in any other way.

mmahut (1259) - CZECH REPUBLIC - JAN 11, 2015
Bottle. Pours in light hazy amber body with medium to low soap head. Aroma has light fruity alcohol character, more of dried fruits with peach, caramel, malty. After warming up, the aroma opens to citrus fruits, pineapple, even light mango. Nice. Taste has strong alcohol sweetness, high woody bitterness, quite harsh earthy bitterness in the after taste. Body is heavy, oily, no carbonation.

The aroma is full of oranges and other citrus fruits and dried fruits. The color is amber orange. The taste is also full of citrus fruits, chocolate and dried fruits. It feels very thick on the tongue because of the high alcohol percentage and the finish is long and it numbs the tongue. A very nice beer!

Bottle from Tipples. Pours hazy brownish amber with a very small off white head. Aroma of some trash juice, burnt wood, leather, dark fruits, tobacco. Flavor is sweet malts, lots of wood, char, some fig and other fruit, a little brown sugar. Interesting. Flavor outshines the aroma by miles. Medium bodied, low carbonation, but surprisingly smooth for the massive ABV. Reminds me a lot of the JW Lees beers, but not really in that class. Not bad. Better than the score indicates, as the aroma and look took away a little.
