Bottle shared with alexsdad06. Poured hazy dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt, alcohol and wood aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy dark sweet flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a complex solid beer.

500 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy dark golden/amber color with a small off white head. The aroma opens with a big woody herbal character before showing more fruit, caramel and alcohol. The flavor has much more sticky sweet caramel, ripe fruits, plums, wood, and alcohol. I get every bit of the 19.3%. Big beer. One to share and drink slowly.

Flavour is composed of rounded toast, vanilla, oak, caramel, tart apple fruit, Warming alcohol is smoother than the aroma. Boozy, bandy apple. Viscous, caramel. Apple pie, spicy.

37.5cl bottle pours with a nearly clear deep copper body that supports a micro thin off white head. The aroma offers up nectar sweet malts, crusty molasses, honey like sweetness, a bit of cider and then some booze. The taste begins with sweet smooth nectar like malts and not so smooth boozy notes. It stays silky smooth and sweet right into the finish. It is a little rough around the edges with booziness but it is still a tasty sipper.

Pours gold into a tulip. Head quickly recedes to nothing. Dark pit fruit and caramel aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and bananas flame upfront turning quite hot in the lasting earthy nut finish.

Bottle split at Chriso Easter tasting, thanks to Kenny, 04/04/15. Hazed orange amber topped with a moderate off White swirl. Nose is earthy, dark fruit rinds, light spice, biscuit, orange marmalade, macadamia nuts. Taste comprises bitter orange, dates, prunes, gran mariner notes, fruit cake mix. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with warming alcohol. Ok BW, drinking well below the ABV but a touch unrefined.

Bottle at ChrisO. Thanks to Kenny.... It pours clear gold with a tiny white head. The nose is rather sweet, earthy, toasty, dried fruits, dried apricot, juicy, pear and apple pie. The taste is sweet, earthy, warming booze, cereal, leather, spice, alcohol, apple, over-ripe pear, caramel and tart tatin. Full body, fine, prickly carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Hot and oily. Not quite the depth I had hoped for. So-so.

Bottle share at ChrisOís. Hazy orange, still, cloudy, no real head to it. Aroma is sherry, vinegar, apple. Holy communion wine according to Teresa. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is biscuity malts, sweet sherry, a little lemon with plenty of booze (although not drinking like itís 19.3%). Not bad for a style thatís not my bag.
