VDuquerroux (823) - Airvault, FRANCE - OCT 3, 2015
Bottle, 37,5cL. Home. A yellow orange opaque hazy beer with a small white ephemeral head. Woody aroma, roast fruity/winy (épine"), fig, raisin. Medium sweet, background warming (+). Full body, thin texture, light silky, average carbonation, sweet lasting warming finish. Overall, really enjoyable, nice balance and palate. Hard to distinguish with medium toasted beer.

31 Aug 2015, bottle. orange, almost clear. nose is slightly spicy, sweet, golden syrup, some (dark?) wood. full body, mildly fizzy, syrupy. wood isn’t huge but i noticed it up front and it has a bit of a woody bite at the end, sweet all the way through, dry wood, barleywine candy. awesome!

Bottle (from beergium.com). Pours amber with beige head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is, sweet, malt, caramel, alcohol, fruits, some raisins. Flavor follows the nose. Finish is alochol. Overall: again way too boozy, but otherwise ok.

Leighton (15331) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2015
Bottle shared at chriso’s Easter 2015 tasting - London. Cheers to Kenny for this beast. Pours unclear yellow-gold with a fluffy white head. The nose holds peach, varnish, pale wood. Hugely sweet flavor with notes of honey, marmalade, light acetone, dough, alcohol. Full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Hot finish with lightly doughy malts, strong alcohol, ripe citrus fruits. OK overall.

375ml bottle @martjoobolut’s, thanks. Hazy amber color. No head. Malty, boozy, orange marmalade and caramel in aroma. Citrus, oranges, malty, boozy, sweet taste. Sweet boozy mess in aftertaste. This one is even worse than previous.

375ml bottle - thanks martjoobolut
Cookie-cutter rating, because of cookie-cutter beer (limousine light):
Carefully poured, even the third glass was cloudy. Messy alcoholic white grape must and doughy aroma, ugh. Fuck me, booze!!!! Tastes of alcohol burn. Some breadiness. Hard to believe that this isn’t just doped with vodka, it’s so boozy.
Difference: Way more raisins in the taste. Much better. Still an utter mess.

Hazy orange beer, no head to speak of. Nose is vanilla notes with malty sweetness, toasty notes. Flavor is sweetness and boozy bitterness, finishes with hoppy and boozy bitterness. Lingering toasty notes.

Ale Alpharetta. Boozy orange, ripe fruits, very sweet, vanilla, caramel, alcohol heat. Fun try, but more of a cognac type sipper than anything else. Room temp was optimal.
