Aroma is caramel, liquor and vinous notes. The flavor is caramel, fruit, liquor, medium/slightly cloying sweetness, vinous undertones and a long and very warming/mildly sour finish.

mcberko (5998) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 5, 2014
375mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out heavier oak than the light - with sugars and caramel - not any of the apple on this one. Flavour is much toaster, with woody oak, lots of caramel and intense sweetness. Not quite as sweet as the other medium versions of the series, but still close to cloying. Decent stuff.

GothGargoyle (1132) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 4, 2014
Orange with a pale head. Aroma is orange brandy, brown sugar. Full bodied, sticky mouthfeel, sweet on the palate, slightly muted - hint of oxidation? Flavours are orange brandy, apricot, toffee.

37.5cl bottle pours with a clear deep copper body that supports a tan head. The aroma is a lot like the light roasted with lots of sweetness oozing out of the glass and the nuttiness I’m getting seems a little brighter. The taste is also similar with towering residual sugar sweetness that has malts, brown sugar and a molasses note mixing with a nuttiness to maples spiciness that shines a little brighter than the light roast version. It ends with a boozy kick that feels a little dryer than the light version. Cool sipper for sure.

Pours cloudy orange with low frothy white head. Aroma of caramel, light butterscotch, ripe tropical fruit, alcohol, sweet wine barrels (madeira, perhaps). Taste is boozy, sweet, slightly fiery. Sweet, warming finish that lingers. Body is rich and creamy with soft carbonation.

Caramel colored pour, not very much head. Very sweet. Brown sugar, toffee, light orange, slick and oily. A hair better than the light toasted oak.

Bottle @JB club. Comparing to the other Medium Toasted of the serie. The stronger of the serie. Dryer, full-bodied. Some rhum notes.

jaghana (3722) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - JUN 3, 2014
Bottle 37,5cl, clear copper beer with medium head. Nose is on grain and caramel extract, dry grapes, light vanilla. Aroma is extremely drinkable with medium sweet caramel notes with vinous and dry grapes, oak astringency, medium carbonation, gingerbread. Finish is more alcoholic, with green apple touch, spices, again ginger bread, orange peel and orange loquor. A good beer but alcohol becomes a bit sharp at the end.
