750, corked, baled, and foiled. Possibly thanks, Maria, but I think this is either from John’s Market or even a Seattle establishment. But it’s certainly a year old at least. Pours jet black with a positively colossal creamy tan head. Sheets of woolly lace coming down the sides. Nice roasty nose with dark chocolate and some herbal hops, even a bit of weed in the aromatics. Creamy, feather-light body. Effervescent carb. Chocolate, true roast, herbal hop, and that demon wacky tobacky again in the mid-palate. Mild, slightly salty, slightly tangy chocolatey finish. Good stuff.

Almost completely black with a dark maroon head that fizzes then settles. Aroma of dark cocoa, dates, prunes and cinnamon. Lots of flavor going on - dark and sweet roasted malts, dark fruits, bitter chocolate and a finish of smoke. Thick and chewy, like 10W40. Amazing Christmas beer. Would love to see what happens after a couple of years in the cellar.

Black with a dense brown head. Fine spicy aroma, very much in the christmas spirit: anis, cinnamon, roasted malts, coffee, cloves and dades. The flavours is very balanced ranging from smoked notes to sweet chocolate and bitter coffee. Creamy palate.

Pours murky brown with nice tan head that lea we chunky lacing. Nose has masses of Xmas spices with underlying dark roasted malt, an Xmas porter indeed! Palate is a little more reserved as far ad the spices go with dark roasted malt dominating. Finished dry & roasty. Cracker Xmas beer & partnered pudding beautifully for a porter.

Man, this beer looks good - impressive, sticky, dark tan head, atop a thick, black body - the aroma of spices explodes from the glass (anise, clove, cardamom,), as well as bitter orange peel and some herbs (thyme) - underneath lurks rich dark chocolate - creamy mouthfeel, full body - despite the strength of spices in the nose, it is the malt that takes hold of the tongue first - bittersweet dark chocolate, roasted malts, some bitter black malts - the hops melt into the other bitter characteristics of the beer (spices, herbs) - cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove arrive late, as well as a touch of orange peel and coriander - some alcohol warmth at the end - lingering spice and roast in the finish - an excellent brew.
