bottle. Huge bubbly white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Hazy dark amber color. Lovely smooth yet complex aroma with notes of yeast, pineapple, caramel, peach, toasted malt, fruit, nutty and mild floral, citrus notes. Medium to full bodied, average carbbonation, light dry texture, the alcohol is so well hidden. Moderated sweet flavor, mild acidic and bitterness. Sweet fruity and malty finish with an acidic twist.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Corked bottle. Amber color. Pineapple, pear and lychee in the aroma. A flowery hopbitterness and a pleasant upcoming tartness in the flavor. Notes of leather, tobacco and hazelnuts. Just a touch of alcohol. It should be interesting to cellar a few bottles, I think its character will change significantly.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Slightly hazy copper with a big off-white head. Aroma of peach, tangerine, pineapple and floral hops. The brett at this point is only a slightly earthy, woody character in the nose.
Complex, dry spicy flavour with pepper and thyme. On top of that wood and earth. Grapefruit and tangerine. Some hop flavour and a good bitterness. A touch of warming alcohol at the end.
At this point it’s a great strong saison, that will suit any dinner table. In 9 months or a year it may be the imperial orval we all have wet dreams about.
While USAlive at about the same strength is a potent in-your-face experience, this is much more subtle. And at the moment, I like my beers subtle and saison-like.

Taste is orange peel, pepper, caramel, yeast and brett. Medium and smooth mouthfeel. Reminds me Orval. Fresh and crisp. ABV well hidden Fairly well balanced.. Dry hoppy end. Nice.

Bottle, 9.39%. OK fruity aroma, weakly funky. Hazy orange colour. Small stable white head. The flavour has a mild caramelly maltiness. Hint of pepper and faint yeast note. Mild, but good fresh hop flavour. Very well-balanced, especially considering the brewery.

RB#9000: 75 cL bottle. Pours slight unclear golden orange with a one finger thick and dense almost white head. Dry hoppy and light yeasty aroma. Sweet malty yet with a distinct hoppy dryness and nice crisp fruity hops notes coming through. Mild yeasty and hoppy finish. Nice and easy.
