The golden amber color was deeper in shade than most BSPAs, and the the head atop was three finger thick. The smell was not typical of a wild ale, as I did not get any Brett character via the nose. I could only detect sour cherries and honey via the nose. The taste was similar to the smell, with honey like sweetness, and green apple sourness. There was a bit of an unexpected hop bite to this as well. The body was on the light side of medium, and aided in the quenching nature of the beer. The alcohol was very well hidden, and the strength lable was shocking compared to the experience.

Bottle from App. Vintner - pours cloudy amber with fluffy white head. Aroma is funky wheat with some spiciness. Taste is bitter with some sweetness on the finish. Overall, nice! I can’t believe it’s over 9%!

Share with Bish and Danny. I really enjoyed it, hides the alcohol well. Like me on the way back from Cott.

Smooth, easy, gentle, never 9.38%, never. Not sour, but quite delicious. Was hoping for a little tart but I always am.

Tap at Brewdog Brum. Nope, did not really get this one. Essence of arrowroot biscuit, flat like compressed cardboard packaging. I must be going mad. Sour? Huh? Did not taste strong neither.

33cl bottle from dranken Geers in Oostakker. Light orange body with a off-white head. Strange yeasty aroma(brettanomyces) , a little sour like Geuze and bread. Not sure if i like this or not **

Pours a hazy copper colour with an average sized but very dense and creamy off white head which leaves some good lace all over the glass. Aroma is sweet, fruity, lightly spicy, overall funky is an accurate description which i believe comes from brett. Flavour is dry fruit, bready, alcohol bite, some sweetness and overall not that sour yet funky would be accurate here too. I love how mikkeller plays around with the names and doesnt use a name without meaning. A pretty subtle 9+ abv beer!

Brown and muddy. Has a white head, mostly diminishing. Sweet, freah aroma with notes of alcohol. Flavor starts sugar-sweet, faint acid, moderate bitter finish. Dry, creamy texture.

Bottle - 750mL crowned. Coppery amber with a tall, thick froth tan head. Aroma is funky yeast notes, soft leather, damp wood, earthy notes, and fruit. Taste is sour fruit, damp basement, wood notes, earthiness, wet leather, barnyard, extremely funky yeast, flowers, hay and forest notes. Body is medium with a strong, creamy and bubbly carbonation. Ends with more sour fruit notes, stronger leathery notes, funky yeast, wet wood, moldy basement, old books and barnyard notes. You want funky? You got funky!
