Black with a thick very dark brown head. It looks oily coming out of the bottle. Aroma is sweet, bourbon, roasted malt, dark chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted bitter finish with some alcohol. Smooth and oily. The bourbon is there, but it’s not overdone. Brilliant. 140511

Bottle @ home, thanks to Erik for the transatlantic courtesy toss. Black pour with a thin tan head. Smells of ash, bourbon, caramel, and roast. Mild soy sauce, vanilla, and some booze. Good sweetness of caramel and vanilla. Fair amount of bourbon, roast, coffee, and dark chocolate. Some rum raisin and booze on the finish. Nice.

Intensiver, mild süßer Antrunk. Würzig malzig, sehr weich und erstaunlich süffig für den Alkoholgehalt. Deutlich schokoladig, etwas nussig, Röstnoten, Bourbon. 12/12/12/12/11/12

This one poured an almost jet black with a tam head. Aroma was of lots of Bourbon, dark chocolate, and roast. Flavor was similar, lots of Bourbon, big roast and ash and dark chocolate. Pretty darn good.
