Drunk to celebrate my rating number 20,600. Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge extremely dark brown head - I don’t remember ever to have seen such a dark head. The aroma has notes of bourbon, roasted malt, alcohol, flowers, and dark chocolates. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roastes malt combined with medium notes of alcohol, wood, bourbon, tar, and dark chocolate, leading to a dry, roasted, alcoholic, and chocolate like finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and the alcohol tickles the tongue.

Bottle 25 cl. Pours a pitch, opaque black with a small but dense brownish head. Initially a somewhat rough woody nose, but it softens and leaves room for sweet vanilla and Bourbon. Rich body, heavy yet sweet roast - quite some molasses and sugars in there. Heavy oak, sweet Bourbon and a sublimely warming alcohol heat in the finish. 270313

Bottle courtesy og GT2 - thanks! Tasted side by side with the base beer. This one has a slightly less motor oil like pour, but the same huge brown head, with good retention. Aroma is the familiar burnt espresso toned down by a slight amount of booze. Taste is awash with vanilla, dark milk chocolate, dark roasted coffee. Less bitter, more smooth than the base. Delicious.
